Details on stock (non-Sony) speakers?

There is always potential. I do not know what the internal amp of the sync 3 is stable to. But, I say it would distort the sound beyond acceptable listing level before you got it to the point where you'd fry the amp. Volume level 15 on the sync 3 system is half way (I think), and it loud enough to drown out my, can't carry a tune to save my life, singing.

Did an image search on Sync 3 speakers, and it looks like the factory speakers in our trucks are 4ohm. Again, I'm not super concerned. I doubt I'll ever push the volume anywhere near max, and if I did it wouldn't stay there long.

Ok cool that's exactly what I've done and it shows that the speakers you got fit. I'm wondering how I would know the difference between all the various 6x9 speakers, but I have seen some folks on the board do the Infinity Kappas, and you have done the JBL Club. Is there any harm going down to 2ohms? I have heard mixed things that while you have lower impedance, you risk burning out your head unit because it will try and supply more power than it otherwise is designed to with those lower impedance speakers. Why'd you land on 3 ohms?
Thanks for all your help btw.

The stock head will safely power Infinity 2 ohm so it will be fine.

I was looking specifically at the components so that it includes a replacement tweeter. The JBL Club that Tommy suggested are pretty much the right pair then.

That is an entirely different install. Nothing wrong with the stock tweeters and they are on their own highpassed channels. Easiest just to use the stock tweeters and replace the door speakers.

Just so I understand - you are saying the door speakers and A-pillar tweeters each have their own signal coming from the head unit? For some reason I thought the signal was coming into the door and a crossover was handling the door speaker/tweeter signals.

Not entirely, just more to do. The way I did it, the door speaker install is the same. The for11mki adapter makse installing a cross overs easier. I mounted my cross overs in the bottom of othe radio stack. Used double sided tape to secure them to the plastic air vent. Droped a new line from the a pillars to the crossovers, used some plastic pipe strap to make mounts for the tweeter bucktes and secured the mouth to the factory location using the factory hardware. Probably the most cumbersome/time consuming is taking apaet and reassembling the radio stack.

They're wired in parallel. The factory tweeters ahcw a capacitor to clip out the low frequencies.
