Default detail day - ceramic coating.

washed the truck with dawn then clayed - dried and put on petra ceramic glass coating - took about 3 hours start the finish. looks great in person, i love how it looks wet. the more hours that go by the shine gets deeper.

Looks good, it's not often you see a white truck with a shine. How hard is this stuff to wax on/wax off?

Depending on the company, some of these coatings are awesome, when properly applied, but application can be a pain, and there is not a lot of it in the kits, so don't spill any.

I am curious how long it actually lasts, and how well it expels salt and road grime in the winter. I have been considering H9 for mine.

very easy.

it takes longer when washing and claying. i just made sure every panel was wet with the product waited 15 min and wiped off , then i used a second fiber cloth to wipe again.

on white paint it’s very hard to see when applying.

I would use something like car pro reload 4-6 times a year now, as your drying aid after you wash, will help make the coating even more hydrophobic and likely extend its life.

At least that's what I do.

can you explain more detail?

drying aid? i have always used shammy then a microfiber -

i have always used zymol products wax/wash/quick detail.

i’m asking because this ceramic glass stuff is new to me.

thanks.

Reload is a ceramic based "quick detailer"
My regime is wash the car and then flood rinse it so you have minimal remaining water then wipe each panel with reload on a damp microfiber and buff dry with another.

Once I use a ceramic the car doesn't see traditional wax again.

Here's more discussion and a good site that's not as brand driven as some.
