A double tap on the traction control button puts you in an advanced traction mode that has a little more give when you lose traction.

Thankfully, a little click of the dial solves all traction problems for me.

How? They aren't lol. Unless they're on a drag radial, which when i'm on the radial it hooks up easily as long as i don't load up into boost to launch. To launch in boost requires lowering the pressure below what i'd drive them on on the street anywhere as well as a good *** burnout lol.

This really ticks me off too...

I chatted with a Ford rep on the Ford website a few weeks ago to see if they could locate a 2.7L Screw 4x4 with the payload package. I at least wanted to see some pricing if I decided to get it with the STX or 300A package. There wasn't a single one in the entire state of MN.

The 2.7 tuned picks up a lot of fat Ford left on the plate. Btw I don't tow anything over 5,000 lbs.. The 5 star graph of all motors tuned are shown on one chart for easy reference.
Finaly, someone posted this. Based on 5stars dyno tests of the 3.5 Vs. 2.7 with stock tune I broadened my search for 302A screws to include the 2.7's because honestly, there is not a hell of a lot of difference in area under the curve between them. The graph also reinforced my decision to avoid the 5.0 for performance reasons, that and it is much cheaper and easyer to get performance gains from an already boosted platform than it is from an NA mill. That said, the 3.5 will have significantly more headroom in potential for performance gains, but I am not likely to chase power in a Truck like I did with my Subaru as I wont be rally-cross or auto-crossing it.

Then I figured out that the frame and rear end and tank I want all come in the max towing package which is only avaliable in the 3.5 so I am back to the 3.5 for the larger rear end, HPDD frame/max gross vehicle weight reasons.

If it were up to me I would probably get a max tow/max GVW setup with it's HPDD frame but with the 2.7, but I can't so I will stick with the 3.5 which is also an excellent engine. If it were up to me I would also get a 302A with ACC, but again, I can't so I guess I wont. Still watching the 18+ ACC thread to see if they ever get the forscan coding necessary to calibrate the radar unit so acc can be modded onto existing 302/502 trucks, fingers crossed.

For mine,
Not well in cold weather! Summer temps, E-locker on all traction controls off. Even then I cannot build too many RPM's up against the brakes, it will sit and spin in place at 2500 rpm. Nailing throttle at idle works best for me if it doesn't break traction shifting to 2nd. Running Active Track Sport does help some but then not quite as quick.KM

I love my 2.7L. Recently I’ve been putting 93 octane and driving in Sport Mode and that thing turns from Ecoboost to ecobeast real quick.

Im with you partner. Before I purchased my 3.5 Ecoboost I thought NO Way can a truck have a v-6. I was wrong. I couldn't be happier.
