I don't see where they charged $18 for one quart.

To me it looks like you got 6 qts @ $3.07 + filter @ $5.00

If you have PA emissions, there is a charge for that. My dealer doesn't charge for the safety inspection, because I bought my cars there. It looks like the $89 is a lumped labor charge for all work done.

My invoice from yesterday (eastern PA, 2011 Explorer getting the Works)
Works Labor = $19.50
Oil Filter = $6.47
Oil = $16.98 (6 qts @ $2.83)
Tax = $2.58
Total = $45.53

The price for the works quotes 6 quarts and is $44 dollars "for this concern". That is why I assume the $18 is for the extra oil. Doesnt break down the $44 is just labor...

Either way, this doesnt make sense and I won't be returning to this dealer. $127 for an oil change and state inspection is nuts!

Since I bought the truck there it was $17 today. It's $24 if they rotate tires too!

My inspection (March 2016)

Free Safety Inspection because I bought the car at this dealership, but I still had to pay for emissions & the 'stickers'.

Labor = $72.51
Tax = $2.70
Misc = (-$25.56) Free Safety Inspection
Total = $47.65

If you add the Works to this $45.53 + $47.65 = $93.18. If you needed to pay for the safety, $93.18 + $25.56 = $118.74

Not far off.....$8.26

Just got the works the other day and it was like 44 bucks with the additional quart. Thing is, they dont take appointments so its first come first serve. I was there at 10min before they opened and still had to wait 2 hours for them to finish. **** that, never again.

That's a great comparison, I guess besides the cost, it's the break down. Don't call it the works if it isn't the "$39.99 or lower" that Ford advertises. Just is shady IMO.

That's what I was expecting and usually pay. Idk what the $18 oil cost and $5 part cost is about. So there works is $44+$18+$5 I guess. I won't even complain I'll just never go back!

The dealer is Nazarth Ford in Nazarth, PA.

$39.95 for the works is such a loser for a dealer. hence why they marked up the extra quart and also why some dealers don't participate in that program
