Default LED vs HID in Anzo High Beam

So I'm not trying to start a LED vs HID war but I have a question. I am going to be buying the Anzo Switchback Headlights, and I already plan to buy 6000K HIDs for the LOW beams. But what would be the best for HIGH beams? Anything I should worry about if go with HIDs for HIGH beams also?

HID's will not react quickly enough if you do a "flash to pass", as they take a few seconds to get fully bright. I intend to use LED's in the high beam on mine.

Hmmm, can I color match the LEDs to the HIDs if decide to do that?

What you should worry about is the scattered light output and the very distinct possibility of blinding oncoming traffic because those reflectors are not made for HID or LED bulbs.

But reading this forum (and most others for that matter) usually people don't care about that as long as THEY have brighter lights and can see better. I am not trying to lecture you but I have been many times on the receiving end of those illegal "conversions".

If you want better lighting the choices are to properly retrofit with HID reflectors and matching bulbs or by OEM LED headlights.

Well the light shouldn't be scattered because they are going to be put in the Anzo Projector Switchback headlights and not the standard OEM housings.

The Anzo reflectors are not designed for either LED or HID bulbs. Just email Anzo and see what they tell you.

There is no way to get premium lighting the cheap way.

Most people using HID are doing the opposite, HID for low beam and LED for high beams. There is a least a few seconds for HID bulbs to reach even 50% brightness, in addition if you're constantly turning high beams on and off for other traffic you shorten the life of the bulbs significantly with repeated lamp strike.

Yep...

Exactly the reasoning behind my post.

Could you elaborate on this? The Anzo units have projector housings in them, which is what you want for an HID or LED light source.
