Dealer Says Must Have Camber/Caster Kit for 2015 F150 Leveling
#11
When I bought my leveling kit I was told that it may align correctly without the alignment cams and it may not. The business I bought the leveling from installs them on a daily basis but did not install mine due to being backed up and me having to wait 2 weeks. I bought the alignment cams and had them installed just to be sure.

Guys - thanks very kindly for the time and help.
Ic2105 - do you mind telling where you sourced the alignment cams from? They claim they are not available yet anywhere.
Thanks.

I don't know exactly (I'm not a tech), but I've seen our techs have to use a ratchet strap to bring the bottom of the wheel in (sometimes even needing the assistance of another tech). I believe alignment cams would prevent having to use ratchet straps.

You don't need these kits, but they are required to get a perfect aligment. I just installed fox 2.0's and I got about 2.25" lift. My camber is now visibly positive and I can hear and feel the outside edge of my tires rubbing the ground as I drive. In order to make my tires last longer I'm going to get this kit

SPC, and Moog has a rebranded SPC. Moog k100070 is the black set that I'm going to get and there is a cheaper Moog k100025. You'll need two of them each part is for one side only.

I had a 2.5"level installed and the shop (custom shop, does lifts all the time) suggested I get a camber kit for a better alignment. I said "Ok", he'd know more than me. He said the wait will be about an hour longer to pick up my truck because he had to go to the local NAPA auto parts store to get it. He charged me the cost of 2 camber kits (one per side).
If it wasn't needed or completely unnecessary I doubt he would have left to get the part and then not charge me anything extra for it. Just my opinion. Was it needed? I don't know. Do I have a little more peace of mind that it's on there. Sure. I'm only out $90 if it was complete bull doo-doo. I was happier with the fact that the installer wasn't 100% satisfied with the alignment and called me to see if it was ok to buy the camber kit. He could have easily not done it and fed me some bull about lifted trucks always pulling a little to the left (or right).

Sounds a bit bs to me. One thing I have seen though, and thought would be appropriate is an upper ball joint spacer or extender, whichever it's called. It helps to not stress the upper ball joint which is the only thing with a level kit that I see to take stress. But that's a wear item so wether they go bad or not they're not warrantied anyways.
