"(J)ustify a mistake"? JUSTIFY A MISTAKE? You don't have to justify a mistake. IT WAS A MISTAKE!

samcarlos, let me make this perfectly clear. I don't want to be misunderstood. YOU ARE WRONG. YOU WILL NOT WIN. YOU CAN NOT WIN.

We have tried to be tactful with you, but you don't want to get it.

I don't think you entered a legally binding purchase contract simply reading an ad, price mistake or not. I don't know why people get so shocked about not being able to actually purchase a vehicle for an unusually (key word there) low advertised price. If it's too good to be true (or just unusually low), you can usually bet there is a catch weather it be general terms in the fine print like w/so much down/trade, all rebates stacked that cant actually stack nevermind a single person wouldn't qualify for all on, or just a plain ole mistake. Deceptive? often times yes, I'm sure way more than honest mistake. Binding/wrong/illegal, pretty much no. Never hurts to try for said price of course, but you shouldn't be surprised when your unsuccessful if you do.

If you had emailed them and offered $95K to buy the truck with a typo, would you want them to force you to buy it for that amount due to a mistake?

I GET it.. I already said I was moving on. Im not asking the dealer to buy the damn Raptor for me. Its just 10%off sticker... I didn't think it was breaking the bank for the dealer. Sometimes its worth a little push if you don't have to be extremely upside down when purchasing a brand new vehicle. I myself have been tactful and just want to know if anyone has been able to succeed with getting a deal below sticker Even if it is a price mistake. I have not called anyone names like "Dick". Not sure if I would agree with you that all members have been tactful.

Yes, most of us bought our trucks for below sticker. I usually shoot for invoice price plus rebates.
Most of ours aren’t specialty vehicles that regularly see “market corrections” like Raptors though. Sticker price is about as good as it gets.
And...I didn’t call you a dick. I said “don’t be a dick”. Those are two very different things.

Yes it was a mistake and not worth the hassle of fighting it. BUT, I'll if you made a deal to buy a vehicle for $50k OTD, and then in the end you finalize everything and sign paperwork that says $55k on it, but don't notice till the next day, they'll probably say "too bad, you signed". Once the paperwork is done, your mistake probably won't matter to them since they're profiting and you mistakenly signed a contract....

that almost happened to me. We agreed on deal and when I made it to the finance department. There was an extra 2k on contract. I told him that those numbers were wrong. He said hold on one second. Came back and said I’m sorry that was my mistake. I almost signed and I’m sure if I would have signed and caught it later they would have just said I’ll throw in some accessories. And your right it’s not worth it.

You'll definetly be wasting your time. Just come to Gullo Ford here in conroe, they sell the raptors at sticker price no mark ups. One of the salesman has an IG always posting. Username- htx-fords.

I want a deal on a new truck like I got on fertilizer last summer.
I go into the local Home Depot to pick up some lawn fertilizer. I found some on sale for about 10 buck a bag, I thought that will work. So I load up about 6 bags and head to check out. The clerk rings them up and low a behold they ring for a penny a bag. I tell her that's not quit the right price. She calls one of the managers and is told to let me have them for a penny a bag. Needless to say I grab a couple of flat carts and load up every bag they had, about 45 of them.
The best deal I ever got on anything.LOL
Moral of the story, some places do honer pricing mistakes. I suspect Of course this one happened because the manager was probable just to lazy to correct the price.

Dealers don't make mistakes when it comes to low-ball price advertising. The whole idea is to get you into the stealership.
