Just had this done on my 18. New dash took 1 week from the time the parts arrived, but they also changed out the windshield cowl.

new dash was warping on 1 side before I picked the truck back up.

Dealer did a great job, one kicker panel I need to fumble with when I get home, but there isn’t a revised dash pad, even if they say there is.

Mid you ever do it, so it when you go to sell the truck.

Probably IF you ever do it, DO it when you go to sell the truck, meaning don't bother except to increase the saleablity of the vehicle.

Got it thanks lol. If this is a tsb... Shouldn't we get this done before warranty is up or is this something covered regardless of warranty?

I get this to a degree, but polymer science isn't new. I've owned numerous vehicles through the years (as I'm sure many of you have) and this is the only one I've had with a warped plastic dashboard. Cracks? Yes. Splits? Yes. And I expect that in an older car that has been exposed to the sun. Warped when new? No. Unacceptable. Same for the glove box. These are not new automotive innovations. I won't be totally surprised if my 10 speed transmission hiccups, but warped, ill fitting plastic? I just have less tolerance for failing on the simple stuff. Sad that excuses have to be made for something that should've never been an issue, especially on a brand new vehicle. Neither my 2012 nor my 2013 had any issue with the dash or glove box. Heading to my dship soon to discuss the options.

Yep. Between this and the freezing door locks, I just don't get it. These are very basic things that have not been issues for upwards of 40 years but all of a sudden Ford can't figure them out. They spend all this money and dealer effort on TSB warranty repairs that don't fix the problem. It's baffling, and I believe a sign of a completely broken corporate bureaucracy. You can't convince me that competent engineers don't know how to fix these things after 5 years, I'm certain they aren't being allowed to.

I reached out back in November to my dealer about it, went in last week for oil changed and asked the status on it. Guy told me he will have the foreman reach out to me. Well just got the call that the guy wants me to take pics and send to him so he can order all the right parts and get this issue fixed because it’s bogus I waited this long.

I figure might as well get it replaced, what is the worst thing that can happen, it warping again??
