Been looking around for a while and finally bought this
Raytis system with hidden drive and just 2 small cameras. There is another system like it (K1S) but the reviews are terrible so will see what we get (from China) on this one.

Also if using an SD card based cam make sure to buy the ones rated for dvr/dashcams. I never bought into the hype but on an older dashcam I went to pull off some video of a kid kicking a rock at my truck while driving by the video file was there but only played for 5 seconds

I wanted the cam out of sight from the driver's position and mounted the A119 to the passenger's side of the mirror mount. It is completely out of sight for me, but I overlooked the microSD card location and have to slide it off the mount to eject the card (which might not be the worst thing, as it means it has to have power removed and thus I can't remove the card mid-write...although if I fail to stop recording, I could manage to cut power mid-write by sliding it off at the wrong time).
