Finally got around to twiddling some bits... as expected, the usual "police car dark mode" bit did absolutely nothing. Silent Car 5 does make the right changes, but it kills *everything*. You still get lights on remote start, but all of your lock/unlock confirmation flashes go away completely (whereas they were dimmed/shortened in earlier model years).

I wish there was a magic bit to disable the perimeter lighting, but leave the lock/unlock flashes in place.

I do miss the lock confirm at times, but I can live with that.... I currently have both "dark car" and "silent car" enabled. I should try silent car alone and see what happens. Thanks for following up on this.

If Silent Car 5 kills everything, what about Silent Car 1-4? What do those do differently? Anyone tried?

Exactly what I was about to ask.

Hey guys, I've got a 2015 Lariat. Hoping you can help me out with the specifics. I saw this on a fusion forum and it added a toggle to the display.

When you activate the "Police dark car" in Forscan, do you have a toggle in the truck display then to turn it on and off?

No. On or off.

I just found this thread about Silent Mode instead of Dark (Police) mode, which of course didn't work on my 2018 XLT. Haven't had a chance to test yet, did anything work better by re-enabling the "dark car"? I too would like to keep the lock and unlock light confirmation.

Anyone try these options? 1-4?

I can't find "silent car 5" anywhere within the spreadsheet I have. I also have a 2018 and want to do this mod. Can you point me in the right direction to find doc with this info? Thanks!!
