Default Dangerous Suspension??

Swapped out my '12 FX4 (screw) a few months ago for a '16 Lariat (screw) with the Sport & FX4 packages . I'm noticing the suspension on the new truck is much less forgiving on rough roads and scary over bumps at high speeds. The truck has been tossed sideways a few times from going over a bump on a curved section of highway.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues, or found a solution?
(sorry if this is a repeat post, I didn't find anything in search).

Thanks,

Biz

We have found that a quality set of rear shocks goes a long ways on these new trucks.

funny this post comes up....just last night I was thinking the same..

Traveling at near 50mph, on a 2 way side road, hit some bumps going straight, but had the steering wheel turned ever so slightly to the left because the road was kinda slanted....and the truck threw the rear end to the right and the truck headed to the left!!

I caught it, I'm a good driver, lol! But I bet some people would have not caught it going left into the oncoming lane....

16 Screw 6.5' box 4x4, tow package, HD rear springs.

Had a 14 scab and now a 16rcsb
Had a 16 scab last week for a loaner
I noticed a difference as well..wouldn't really say dangerous but yeah it gets bounced around abit..
My guess...its a lighter truck due to pop can build.
Want bouncy..get a rcsb

Yeah as stated above, likely due to the rear end of the truck being a lot lighter than previous years. New rear shocks will help.

Sounds like a Hellwig rear sway bar might be in your future? Should help with cornering, body roll, side to side bouncing etc. I don't have one yet though, I'm just going by what other people say about them on here.

please define 'quality' rear shocks....keep in mind, I have sold Auto parts for over 25 yrs....

I'd be interested in 'quality' rear shocks, too bad I have the maintenance plan that includes new shocks! Maybe I can have them swap em?! LOL

I have a 15 Larriat super crew FX4 and drive 50 mph plus on curvy, washboard dirt roads and have never experienced this. In fact it's probably the nicest riding vehicle I've ever owned and handles bumps and curves like a champ.
