Keep in mind that the newer F-150's are approximately 700 pounds lighter and will handle differently than older models. Remember how much difference you noticed when there was a substantial load in the back of your earlier model F-150? The same applies here, you just have to get used to the handling differences. Of course if you can't deal with it you know what you need to do right?

If the 15 and 16 shocks are a carry over from earlier models , something doesn't seem right. I can't imagine these way too soft 15 and 16 shocks in previous trucks that weigh 700 lbs more .

Just to throw a kink into the convo... I just went from a 2015 supercab.. to a 2016 supercrew.. I used to bounce all around in the 2015.. the 2016 has none of that issue..

Things to note.. the 2015 was an xl sport.. the 2016 is a lariat 501a

75 mph towing a 6x10 trailer, hit a small ripple in a very slight turn. The r/e jumped sideways and started slinging the trailer into the next lanes. I would have lost my RZR if I wasn't using 4 point tie downs. Mine is a 2wd, are the shocks working on them as well?

The wheels and axles weigh the same amount and that is what has to stop moving upward, stock they slap around 2/3 times and with the better shock they basically stay in contact with the road. It is not the weight of the aluminum truck it is the fact the tires hop/slap up and down a bunch when they contact a ripple on the road. Keep the tire in contact and the truck sticks like glue to the road/turn. U simply feel it with the stiffer shocks. The new truck comes with a cush ride That delivers 0 performance handling characteristics.

When I hit the bump, the rear end compressed and LAUNCHED me out of my head and smashed my head into the roof very hard. Instant head ache. When I "landed" I was instantly in the middle of both lanes. Had there been a car next to me on the right lane, I may have hit it.

I am a very experienced driver and was holding the steering wheel with both hands.

On the way back, I knew the bump was coming. I slowed to 40mph (despite a semi truck behind me almost crashing into me cause I was going to slow) and hit the bump with both hands firmly gripping the wheel/fully prepared. It STILL launched the truck a bit and threw my out of my seat but not as hard.

Both my wife and I agree weve never felt anything like this in a vehicle. Ive owned tons of fords, and F350s and never had anything that would launch like that. Downright dangerous.
I experience this every day.
*2015, 7k miles, 2wd, tow package*

I have already changed all four shocks to Eibach, which helped 20%.
The rear hopped so badly stock on the freeway, the stuff would jump right out of the bed.

The ride overall is so bad if feels like the tires are full of concrete.

It's very clear that the suspension is over sprung in the front, and under 'swayed' as well.
When going slowly around the corner, the car stays flatter than it should but go one mile an hour faster, and it leans like crazy.....

I had the alignment set (toe in on the right was off .5 degrees) and it did nothing. The technician is a vet suspension expert, and when he drove it he was flabbergasted at the quality.

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with these trucks. If I am in a lane on the freeway and it is rough, you CANNOT keep it in the lane. Both the front and rear will jump and hop.

Frankly, it's a joke.

I put 2" hub centrics spacers on all four wheels giving it 4" wider wheel base and the truck sticks like glue to the road and corners now with my 5100 Bilsteins on the rear. I also have a backflip x2 revolver cover and swing out rear tool boxes.
I would recommend all put them on their aluminum trucks. Once you do you can drive deep into corners and love the aluminum truck driving capabilities.
