I've had both, just ordered a 5.5 again, the 157wb shudders bad on take off with any kind of load.
oh and btw, I use a trailer so to answer your question, zero trips extra.... same for moving, same for loading my skidoo renegade, my Outlander, my traxter max and whatever else that needs the tailgate down no matter if 67 inch or 79inch box. Btw everything from IKEA fits in a 5.5 box from what I remember unless that has recently changed
