Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
[QUOTE=Timn330;5038322]
In theory those with 2015 F-150 that have MFT/SYNC2 should be able to "fairly easily" upgrade to SYNC 3. This will require a screen and apim replacement at minimum. Not a cheap retrofit and it would be based totally on personal preference.
I have a 2016 Lariat with Sync 2. If i wanted to go to Sync 3 could I just replace the apim? Why would it need a new screen?
You gotta be kidding, a 16 with Sync 2? Don't think so. Maybe he has a 15 he bought after the 16s came out. We have a neighbor who says he has a 16 Prius, but the headlights and taillights are wrong (2015 model). My wife drives a 2016 Prius and the guy insists she has a 2017. Check of VIN proves him wrong. He bought it after 16 models were out and picked up a 15 closeout. Sounds like the same thing here.

This thread isn't here for arguing about who has what. Did you bother to look where the poster is from? A quick check of ford parts certainly shows the 16s were available with SYNC 2. If it really is a 2016, it is probably an export model. If it is really a 15 what does that change...nothing.
This thread is here for a specific purpose and is to be on topic. Leave the arguing for another thread.
The purpose of this thread is to keep people informed on Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information and anything related to the information in the OP. It's not here to argue about factory nav being better or worse than a garmin, CarPlay being better or worse than Android Auto, what year someone's vehicle is, etc.
REMINDER: Please keep the thread on topic.
Thank you.

I picked up British Columbia and didn't pick up on the UAE. Sorry.
