What!! So is that FoMoCo officially push the public release out to next year? Why would they do that if they obviously have a functional update? Maybe they don't want to release it until they have enough USB hubs in stock?

By design, VW wanted to demo wireless carplay earlier this year and apple said no.

Rumor is google is working on wireless AA also.

It will require wifi & bluetooth. Bluetooth lacks the bandwidth. No clue if sync3 will be able to support either of them on wifi but promising since we do have the wifi radio!

Android Auto requires USB. I know they've talked about wireless support but I don't think it's been implemented in the app or on any head units.

Lack of usb hubs is a reasonable reason. I really doubt they want to push two different updates back to back to a million of vehicles....

Just came home and I'm doing the v2.2 non nav update on my F150. I'm using a MacBook laptop and this whole file extraction process is a major PITA. Thankfully I do have Windows 10 on a Bootcamp partition on my hard drive that eventually allowed me to follow the directions in the Read Me file. Now I'm doing the update on my truck. Fingers are crossed.
