Be careful not to do too much damage, from what I can tell other cars you just slowly work it out, ours is loose but seems to be held in, which may mean either you pop a tool in the minor hole near the top, or they actully need to go under the armrest compartment. Or I'm over thinking it and it just pops out.

After some experimenting, the hub can be removed with a basic plastic trim tool without having to take anything else apart. Use a thin plastic pry tool and slide it under each side (short sides of the hub) and give it a little twist to get that side to pop out and then do the other end. You may need to hold the already released side out as it will want to pop back in.
From the very first post in this sticky:

The part numbers I got were:
GJ7Z-19A387-B (Lincoln)
HC3Z-19A387-B (Ford)
They are supposedly identical except the Ford USB is blue instead of white, but its severely back ordered. The Lincoln one is available now at Walt Sweeny Parts.

Guys said he would except return if it did not work.
Looks like it would go in the armrest console NOT the front console under the screen.

Fixed it as you said, bluetooth was not synced. Probably everyone doing the update should resync bluetooth afterwards.
Just got my module installed and CarPlay working. Anyone experiencing a lack of notifications (outside the CarPlay apps)?
I am missing all notifications for other apps, the audible alert, I do not expect anything on the screen to reflect / show the notification. This is a bit of a deal breaker for me having the phone unable to notify me of anything. The screen doesn't even turn on to display the notification on the lock screen anymore.
