I posted about this in another thread about the new update, but thought I would try here as well. I have the unofficial update installed and am unable to install the official update over it. It just tells me that I am already up to date when I put the usb in. Has anyone been able to install over the unofficial version? What do I need to do to get the official version in my truck?

Probably have to downgrade to 2.2/2.3 then do the official upgrade.
I had the non official one for awhile, but heard that this could be a problem. I downgraded a few weeks ago.
I installed a newer release of Sync 3 again. As far as I can tell so far with this one there is no way to disable the wifi prompts like I could on previous versions of Sync 3 (builds 17276 & 17307)

Mine has nav. I wrote a separate install file for both nav and non nav units. I already used both of my updates on various Fords belonging to a few of my friends; I know the files work.

My guess is HB5T-14G387-AAB is an embedded utility considering it is 5.34KB which might play in to future OTA updates. Fords servers now request more criteria from hosts (an extra 60 bytes) when retrieving update requests. It could be anything though.
Also this is the first time Ive ever seen a .zip file from Fords server. Ive never seen the updates so neatly packaged for us like this.
