Is 3.0 available for my 2016 XLT? Or this a 2017/2018 thing? I didn't see it as an option on the Owner.Ford website.
it's not official for F-150s yet. The version I have was originally posted by livinitup in the Forscan sticky and other versions of it have appeared since. According to owner.ford.com my 2016 XLT is up to date with version 2.0
Yes I remember it showing the UUID when I had version 2.0. It seems sync version 3.0 fixed that and it now reads the volume name of my 64 gig "jukebox". The big surprise for me was that sync can play my FLAC audio files. First car stereo I've had to do that.
Good to know proper exFat support is on the Roadmap. I rolled back to 2.3 due to the dimming issue, but hopefully a newer version of 3.x rolls out or is leaked soon.

I'm not really sure what the dimming issue is. I saw that you can dim but I just set to auto in the day night section (sorry can't go to truck right now) so I get the black background at night.
That's what I'm wondering might be my issue. Maybe my version is too old that I can't jump right into the latest version. hmmm
Not sure if you are trying to update to v.2.3 or 3.0 but FWIW, I was able to upgrade directly from v.1.0 to v.2.3 w/o any major issues. The first loading of the nav maps took forever after the update and reboot but eventually they loaded and the navigation works as expected.
