I enjoy doing a bit of trolling too, sometimes it's fun just to ruffle feathers when people say stupid stuff on the internet, but to have an online persona just to be a troll, I have a hard time finding the satisfaction in it.

 

Although I am waiting for the "official" update to appear through "official" channels, I am happy to see the positive responses that have been posted so far. Good luck to the testers and please make sure to post any issues, positive or negative, that you may encounter.

 

Most people who participate in software and intellectual property theft justify it as acceptable and in many cases legal, when it's not.

yes, actually you can redistribute MS Windows 10 freely, however each install will require a separate product code which can be purchased across thousands of different vendors. But please, by all means, give windows 10 to anyone you want.

Someone posted a screenshot earlier, showing Sync update site is already recognizing the update, as would be expected. When the official update is released, you should already show as up to date. If they end up with a different release build, I would guess it will show up on someone's DropBox, just as this did, and you'll be able to update to it, even if Ford's site shows you up to date.

If it's really a big concern, I would just wait for the official release. There has to be some sort of common sense/risk involved in updating to software before it's publicly released. If this update fries your ACM/APIM/brain, you don't have/shouldn't expect any sort of recourse or (official) help from anyone else.
