Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
App deleted. Good riddance.
Another note on downloading these files on MacBook Pro: My PC did not keep the SyncMyRide folder that the upgrade files are in, it just unzipped all of the files. It is important to make sure the files are in the folder for the update to work.
I figured out how not to have the app auto start. Seems SYNC is last used, so if you listen to media on the phone itself, when you switch to another source, or shut off the truck, next time you get in and plug in, it will not start Pandora since it assumes you will use USB media.
Tested out yesterday by switching to media files on the way in, and when I got in to go home last night, it showed the media playing and not pandora. Same thing this morning.

Has there been any offcial updates for the ford side of this update. I installed this to try and fix an issue where phone calls would freeze my touch system but it seems like it not so optimized for my car and even though it fixed it the cars sync sysyem seems slower with it in car start up and channel changing.
Also any ideas if android auto is any smoother with the hub update? I've so far only had an issue with iheart radio but just wondering if theres any noticible difference.
Thanks

Hi All,
Here's a new one but 1st some background.
2016 F150 Platinum late august 2016 build.
Sync 3 updated to 2.2
iPhone 6+ w/ IOS 10.2.1
New USB hub HC3Z-19A387-B
iPhone when plugged in USB port doesn't index iTunes Playlists properly. Missing lots of playlists after indexing. However if I search for Artists I can find the missing artist and albums and they play properly. For reference I have about 500 playlists and 3800 - 3900 songs.
Have tried powering down phone, performing Master Reset on Sync headunit and have also downloaded and ran Sync my Itunes app from Ford owners site and still doesn't index all playlists.
However via Bluetooth playlists index perfectly. Also indexes properly using Apple Car Play but don't want to use Car Play as it disables too many Sync items / features that I like.
Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue and if so what they've done to resolve it.
Very frustrating...

Thanks for any and all support on this.

I guess any and all issues people are having since they updated via the unofficial links online are some of the bugs Ford are trying to work out of the update before they release it for Ford vehicles.
Patiently waiting for the official release.
