Updated last night using the 2 part file. Everything went fine with that one. I tried using the "official" Ford release which was hosted on a ford.com site, which I found through Mustang link posted a few pages back. That one gave me issues, saying there wasnt enough space and what not.
Now that its upgraded, the truck still shows 1.0. I know the update worked though the interface has changed slightly and it now shows the AA preferences. I tried the Master Reset with no luck and hoped maybe it just needed to shut off for a little while, but this morning it still shows 1.0. Oh well, not that big of a deal.
Now I'm just waiting on my hub from Anytime Ford Parts.
Have you connected to the internet with wi-fi to update the owners site? I used my phone as a hot spot to do the update. That was the easiest way for me.
I don't know why you guys are waiting for the automatic update. You have a lot of faith in it to download a large file over wifi. Why not download it and put it on a usb stick, I bet you that is the safest method anyway.
After skimming the last several pages, is it accurate to say that Ford has not officially released the USB hub by the end of the year as promised? I've been watching media.ford.com for the announcement as FordIVTteamtold us to.
I installed the 2.2 upgrade (2016 W/Nav) and all has gone well with one exception - I am unable to connect for wireless updates. It does connect to my server but when the update runs, it just spins the icon. Sometimes, after a 20 minute try, the screen shows the last update was unsuccessful, try again.
Has anyone run into this or have a way to correct it
Paul
im having exact same problem on a 2016 with Nav, can someone correct this

Its connected to my home wifi. I'll keep an eye on it. I know its 2.2, just funny how it shows 1.0. I noticed when it completed using the 2 part, it said you are now updated to 1.0.
Hey guys, I have Sync 3 2.0 and am trying to get Android Auto to work properly. It loads up when I connect my phone, but the resolution is way too big. I didn't see an option for screen size in any settings. Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks!
Good news is, the 2.2 upgrade worked well. CarPlay is kind of cool. I like the phone interface best since it mimics that of the iPhone.
Bad news is, it seems to be rather cantankerous. It responded really slowly and/or locked up. When I unplugged the USB cable, Sync stopped responding and did not disable CarPlay. Siri didn't even come close to finding the destination that I tried.
Ford still has some work to do.

If you are running a custom rom you need to look at the AA discussions on their forums, there as been many an issue with custom roms and AA and I don't try tracking them anymore.
If not
First thing would be to check the Google Apps on your phone to make sure they are up to date.
These are
Google Play Music
Google Maps
Android Auto
