No, not available yet.

Date announce from Ford what that is was before the end of the year.

There is a module in your truck that need to be change to enable CarPlay. (Wont be required for Android-Auto)

Dont know if Ford is gonna charge for it or not. (Most probably will...)

Many forum members have already ordered and change the part themselves. Part number is somewhere in this tread.

Please take the time to read the tread as it contains a lot of discussions on this subject.

hi Ajean,

even if I get the part - do I still need to go to Ford to have them update the software?

Even with the part, the dealer can't update you. V2.0 that has carplay isn't in the system yet. The only way to get it is buy a 2016 made after July of this year or a 2017.

I have a 2015 F150 with MFT Sync 2 w/Nav.
I am thinking of ordering the upgrade kit from 4DTech
https://www.4dtech.com/15-ford-f150-...-myford-touch/
They sell a version of the upgrade without Nav for $600 less.
If I order this version, will Android Auto work on this (assuming they ship ver 2.0) so I can just use Google Maps?
I have Android 6.0.1 on phone with Verizon unlimited data so that's not a factor.
Anyone know if all I need to replace is the APIM and touch screen or are there more parts involved. Its a pretty expensive upgrade so if I can order the parts myself, I would rather save the $$$$ if I can.

You need the screen, apim , wpt1239 and new media hub.
Edit gps splitter or seperate gps antenna

Putting some more thought into this now, I assume I would need the APIM programmed as well. Seems like most dealers don't want to deal with this.
In light of the additional parts you mentioned, and the programming, maybe the best route is to just buy the whole kit and let them do the programming.
Will Android Auto work on these if they are 2.0 so I could at least buy one without navigation?

My USB module is on its way. After talking to a local dealer last week and having them tell me there were only 2 in the country I figured I would bite the bullet and try Fast Parts Direct. They said it would be on back order for 2-3 weeks

Just received the shipping notification that it is on its way. Now let's see if Ford can hold up on their end of the bargain and release version 2.xx

hey guys my new USB hub will be here by Friday. Is there a video anywhere or a quick tutorial on how to remove the hub? I see that some used a credit card with a plastic pry tool so it wouldn't scratch the truck... any other tips or tricks? Thanks in advance

just work from both sides. It takes more force then you might expect. I used a couple trim tools to pop mine out. It's a PITA!!!

Two cables, one's power and the other is the USB from the APIM connect to the hub.
