I got the update done on my 2016 non-Nav Sync3 system. Went from 1.0 to 2.2. I haven't had any time to mess it yet though.

Was curious how far anybody's pushed the screen's abilities?? Or if anybody's toying with new capabilities beyond just AA/Carplay?
I know this guy.......
.....has got a pretty full blown offering but I've heard he wants like $2K for his setup and it sounds like his has *extra* hardware with that box he shows and I don't even know where that gets mounted when he's all done. (definitely cool though)
I'd just like to be able to have everything on my phone available on the screen. (I now Ford/Apple/Google = systems of control so it's a bit of a pipe dream but we've come pretty far without their help so far)
Nothin' like hacking new vehicles, right? LOL!

Yes it been discussed plenty before. He connects a module in series with the APIM to add the hacks. The version for sync2 wasnt very good. He was asking 800 for the sync2 module a couple of years ago, he ships from China (and as you can tell from the accent he's chinese) even though he's based in the US.

Well I pulled a little to hard on the gray and red module in the USB hub, and the blue and yellow wire came out. Anyone have this problem and successfully get it back in and working? Or any idea where I could take it for them to fix it?
