Tried picking multiple colors and nothing. It is in the on position and not auto. It hasn't been working at night for awhile.

If it hasn't been working in a while it sounds like the controller or some other ambient lighting component is having a problem. At least it wasn't the update that caused the issue.

I don't know about any of you, but I am not impressed with Sync 3.0. First thing I noticed; I leave for work around 4am, when I start the car up and its in 'night mode' the screen doesnt start up already auto dimmed. I have to hit the dim button on the left so the screen is dim with the rest of the car. Second; There is a noticeable delay in hitting the 'speak' button, and actually being able to speak. This is the worst one, I want to downgrade just from this alone. I also don't see any of the 'snappiness' some people talk about.

Does anyone know if you are able to downgrade from 3.0 to 2.2?

Sounds like there is something else, as most people here including myself can report its snappy and smoother.

As far as downgrade, dealer only. They wipe the apim with oasis and reload the software.

One thing I found is the keyboard in the settings menu is in alphabetical order instead of keyboard style. Does anyone know how to change this?

Just updated to 3.0 and that all went smoothly and they still aren't working so it does have to be something else. Back to the drawing board.

I know this is off this topic but does anyone know where the factory wiring goes for the controller? I have been taking the screen and cd unit out a lot lately working on the audio. Maybe I'm missing something on the reinstall...

So, reinstalling 2.3 won't overwrite 3.0? That doesn't make sense.
