Yes I did but I think I know what happened stay tuned

It's amazing to me that with high speed interent/wifi so readily available, that Ford has to push an update in this way. They deserve every hit they've taken in the past few years with customer "service" like this. I also see nobody from Ford has been in here to assist in any way!

**Also, I will be interested to see if this update solves the audio off bugs we've had for years now!**
Also have a Mac same issue. Finally resolved after trying just about everything. You have to go to apple app store and get STUFFIT EXPANDER which is an unzip file. It is FREE by the way. Then you use that to unzip and it puts all in properly, autoinstall.lst then DONTINDX.MSA, then a folder SynchMyRide which contains 5 .gz files in order. Transfer that way to USB thumbdrive and works no problem.

I still am unable to transfer the .xml file to Ford to confirm upgrade though. Tried using various browers etc just in case was Safari, stl doesn't work.

It does tell you on Ford pages using Mac to use STUFFIT Expander. Just unzipping won't work.

George in NY - waiting for usb interface module in mail, no one has that either at Ford dealers naturally. By The way my install is on 2016 Ford Edge. In here because best information on upgrade found here.

Good morning, all. Good news for those of you that have been waiting. I logged onto FMCdealer today (Ford's website for employees) and they have OFFICIALLY released Sync 3 2.2 so for those of you waiting for the official release it is here. You can download if over wi-fi if you have that setup on your vehicle or go to owner.ford.com and download it to a USB stick and install it that way. You will, however, need to get the updated media USB port. Retail should be under $100 (somewhere around $75) and it's easy enough to change on your own, or you can pay the dealership to do it. Maybe with a little sweet talk they will do it for free since it takes about 2 minutes. Don't be alarmed if you call the service/parts guys and they don't know just yet. This info JUST hit the wire this morning. So there it is...go get it!

It only took my truck about 10-12 minutes this morning to update via USB.

Been looking over the past few pages, didn't see what I was looking for. Can anyone provide tips for getting the OTA update over wifi? Tried everything short of a reset and can't get it to say there is a new version. Ford site says I'm good for v2.2. TIA!

I guess nothing of this update will work for me. Not only do I no longer have voice recognition but when I installed the update USB hub car play doesn't work either. This whole experience has been a disaster for me.

I have a 2017 Platinum with nav, sync 3, sync connect, blah blah blah. The truck was a Dec 2016 build. I don't show an update available on the owner site. I have not received a message on Ford Pass. Lastly, when I try OTA, it searches for several seconds then goes away. The truck and owner website says I have version 2.0 and that I have the latest version. Oh, my travel link traffic does not load. HELP!!! HELP!! HELP!!
