My ford won't send the email with upgrade info. Don't know why, so even though it has it right there on my page I can't upgrade. This sucks.

Is anyone from Canada with version 1.0 seeing the update on owner.ford.com? I have version 2.0 and don't see it, I was wondering if it was blocked for those below my version too.

Open the autoinstall file (non nav used for example) in notepad.

; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HB5T-14G386-TBB
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HB5T-14G386-TBB.tar.gz
Item2 = GB5T-14G386-SB
Open2 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-SB.tar.gz
Item3 = HN1T-14G391-BC
Open3 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G391-BC.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

; 2nd half
[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = HN1T-14G423-BA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G423-BA.tar.gz
Item2 = HN1T-14G381-SA
Open2 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G381-SA.tar.gz
Item3 = GB5T-14G386-AA
Open3 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-AA.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall,Delay,Include,Transaction

Modify it to do one file at a time:

; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HB5T-14G386-TBB
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HB5T-14G386-TBB.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

After that one installs...move to the next (probably best just to have a laptop with you in the car).

; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = GB5T-14G386-SB
Open1 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-SB.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Do all 6 files like this in the order they are listed originally.

For nav do the same.

Again this is a suggestion.
Do I need to uninstall the prior upgrade before trying this method?

I didn't uninstall anything. I did do both a master and soft reset prior.

jm061, good call. I just tried this method and it worked! Successfully installed v2.2 with Gracenote working and no errors.

Exact 6 steps below of how the autoinstall.lst file looked for each individual file install. Of course restarting after every one as the system requests.

Step 1
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HB5T-14G386-TBB
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HB5T-14G386-TBB.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Step 2
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = GB5T-14G386-SB
Open1 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-SB.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Step 3
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HN1T-14G391-BC
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G391-BC.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Step 4
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HN1T-14G423-BA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G423-BA.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Step 5
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = HN1T-14G381-SA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\HN1T-14G381-SA.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall

Step 6 (last)
; Gen 3 - Assembly Update - NonNav/NEU - 17011

[SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT]
Item1 = GB5T-14G386-AA
Open1 = SyncMyRide\GB5T-14G386-AA.tar.gz
Options = AutoInstall,Delay,Include,Transaction

The confirmation file was saved to the flash drive, but when I tried to upload to Ford website it said upload unsuccessful. However, the site did show v2.2 was installed and up to date on 4/30/2017.

Thanks again, and yes having the laptop in the truck made it go a little faster. Just be careful if you do this method that you are doing the steps in order and changing all the Item #'s to 1.

Can you please tell me how to do these resets and if I need to do them prior to trying to reinstall these updates using the "individual files" method? Thank you
