It took about 20 minutes to load the Nav version for me this morning. I was driving to work so, it was powered the whole time.

Oops... guess I should have just just read Jason's excellent ReadMe file first that says it should take 15-20 minutes for the load during which time the vehicle should be on, and then it should be turned off for approximately 5 minutes before restarting.

The NAV update works good in french too with Android 7.1.1 (Goolge Pixel).

Yes, I did downloaded to my mac and moved it to a thumb drive. Just make sure the thumb drive is formatted FAT32.

Thank you so much! I created two flash drives and did this on my way to work this morning. When I got to work I was able to confirm the upgrade and was able to use Android Auto.

I am retracting my statement about having to pull the usb cord in order to get back to the sync screen when using car play.

Messing with my settings this morning. Found you have to enable mobile apps. Once that is done a sync button appears in car play that returns you to the sync screen. Same way that a car play button appears in sync. So switching between each is easy peezy.

Sorry for the misinformation. It takes a great man to admit he was wrong.
