I put a SwingCase on the passenger side a few weeks ago shortly after picking up the truck. Everything inside is either not rattle prone or wrapped in shop rages or cloth bags. I hear no rattles from the contents or the case. It included all hardware needed to install

The racket is more manageable with a Tonneau cover for sure. Looks like you don't have the Ford one either, I found the aftermarket one much better all around.

I've heard mine once or twice when things shifted. Mine are under a hard tonneau, so that helps. I have a couple pairs of gloves in there kinda separating things, that helps too.

Mine is on the passenger side, is an aftermarket Undercover brand, and I would certainly get another one if needed.

Is the SwingCase strong enough to use a cargo bar against it?

Default UnderCover swing case on 2018s with box link

Question, do these mount to where I have the box link hook mounted or is there another spot? I don't want to have to remove one of my box link cleats.

They mount independent of the box link cleats and you can leave the cleats installed.

I had Undercover swing cases in my 2010 for about five years and never had a problem with them When I bought my 2016 I ordered new ones from Undercover within days of purchasing the truck, along with the Undercover flip tonneau cover. I've never had a problem with either set. If you did around there's a post I made a couple of years ago with pictures.

The 2015+ trucks / undercover swing cases install a lot easier since there's a Ford branded option. The holes are all pre-drilled.

I just got done replacing the hinge bracket on mine. The top hinge pin broke off. I wouldn't say it was overloaded but i went ahead and took out my hitch and my hitch mounted recovery hook to lighten it up. FYI the bracket set was $64 +13 shipping, granted this is both brackets and the nut/bolt bag for one side. Sucks since i just needed the hinge bracket and not the latching bracket.

For those with the front latch rattling, if I remember correctly, you can adjust the catch interlock. I made some adjustments on mine because it didn't latch when I first installed it. I can't remember exactly how I did, but I was able to adjust it.

As for the cargo bar, I surely wouldn't use one between the boxes.

I made a load control board that fits in the slots:
