Default A couple XTR questions.

I recently purchased a 2015 XTR. This is my 3rd F150 but my first with the XTR. I'm in northern MI, this vehicle originated in Canada.

My first question is about the seat belt warning. When I first climb in and start her up the seat belt light comes on for a few seconds and dings a couple times. Even if I do not fasten my seat belt the warning light and audio warning stop and it never comes back. So the question...is it that way because the seat belt law in Ontario is different than Michigan? Or did the previous owner tamper with this? I'm not sure if I care to change it or not but I'm mostly just curious what state this should be in.

Secondly about the date display on the sync screen. When the radio is off the screen shows the date in a format that seems backwards to me here in the US. I rarely turn off the radio so this is not a big deal, but I've been all through the settings and as far as I can tell I have it all set to United States English. Did I miss a setting can this date format be changed?

Thanks to anyone who knows the answers.

I feel pretty confident in saying all of those things could be changed with FORScan

I'm in Ontario and laws are not different than anywhere else. My seat belt warning light and chime come back if I start driving, they even come on if I'm slowly driving out of the car wash without my seat belt, so the trigger speed must be in the 5-10 km/h range.

Previous owner tampered with the seat belt warning. Date format is different in the USA than nearly the rest of the entire world. Month-Day in USA. Day-Month pretty well everywhere else.

Seat belt warnings are exactly the same on Canadian trucks. It can easily be disabled/enabled, and no special tools necessary. The procedure to do this is in owners manual.
