It will vent out the bottom of the seat I'm guessing?

You could have a bright career at Ford as an engineer twakefield....too bad they prefer to have thousands of service techs try to address the issue instead of a few really bright people with the right tools and attitude to FIX an issue......smile.....kuddos to you!!

And it sounds like you should post this design up on the Taurus, Fusion, and Lincoln websites as well...

Picked up my '15 Lariat today and immediately noticed no cold air blowing from the seat back and very little coming from the bottom. On my '13 it was very noticeable when the cooled seats were on, and I'm assuming the '15 seats should act similarly to the '13 seats.

Well, since I'm waiting on a '16, I sure hope they fix this among a few of the other issues (like ACC) before they start '16 production....
It sucks for all of you to have cooled heated seats... and hope Ford recognizes the issue and comes up with a legit fix.

First go didnt fit perfect so a few tweaks and printing again. This is how I do product design! Try it throw it away and improve. I am not afraid to make a few mistakes along the way and learn from them.

I will keep you all posted!

Default Cooling Seats - Are Your Seat Backs Working Properly?

Second round fits better. I will be making a trip to find some hose tomorrow so I can try it out. A few more tweaks to make figment better here and there.

Would be super sweet if FORD would send me a file of their TED so I didn't have to scab something together!

Ford obviously knows how to engineer ventilated seats. My sister had a Lincoln LS with ventilated seats that would freeze you out. Here's a pic of their system. You can see they use preformed plastic piping and the intake and exhaust are far apart. I'm also not sure the blower they have put in our seats actually moves enough air to be useful...

Can this "old" unit be placed in our trucks?
