Im inclined to just take the seat apart and just make a permanent cooker. Hell it could work as a incubator for eggs if managed properly.
That brings up another bitch I have. You can't power anything for a few hours if plugged into the back seat 12V outlet, like my TED Coleman cooler. Which I use when hauling cold food either from the store or to the cottage. It keeps turning off after a few minutes if I stop the engine. Be nice to have it being a 24/7 outlet and let me worry about not draining the battery to low to restart.

Pretty frustrating to be of the tech generation and have warnings all the **** over and barely usable gear. They have 20 year olds or something thinking we're ****ing 80 years old. This crap is so proprietary you can't modify it without ripping it out and starting over. Very frustrating the way the tech is being integrated.

Add to that if you are pulling a trailer that has a seven pin with electrict brakes, unless the ignition is on no power goes to the trailer. This sucks when I try to use my lights inside my cargo tailer.

Do you think Ford figures anyone dumb enough to pay this much money for these trucks is to dumb to be trusted with handling the situation? Or to notice their back is sweating when the seat cooler is on!

Would nice to see a comparison of these votes saying they have a properly working system. Full part number break down pictures etc.

Are you referring to that bitch that keeps telling me to keep two hands on the wheel. I had a girlfriend like that once. But not for long!

Yep, you've run into her as well. I keep telling her to STFU but she always finds a way to pipe up. The latest generation of tech seems to be very distracting while loading the tech up with **** that is supposed to be for safety.

These vehicles are so distracting and full of non-sense tech (That is supposed to work well) that's ya wonder who is directing the programming.

i went out and unzipped my seat backs...my cooling unit exhaust vent goes DOWN and vents out of the bottom of the seat,
my intake filter was dirty to

so i guess the new seats just dont have enough spare room to run a vent out the bottom

Default RCSM airball.....

Well, I was hopeful until the Regional Customer Service Manager called as promised

After talking about the seat back cooling issue (I do not have ACC), it was as if it was the first time he had ever heard about it.....NO credibility as to others having the issue. I pointed him to this thread and the Ford SM page to get some background but all he wanted me to do was take the car to the dealership, have them look at it and have THEM contact the Ford Technical Support team...

I explained how many already had done just that with no results, but it was a broken record...take it to the dealer. I did send him an email with links to this and other Forums that are all on fire about this, but the RCSM was teflon as to admitting this was a Ford issue, what they are doing (if anything) to look into and when/how they will remedy the problem......almost a waste of my time!!

Sooooo....how DO we get Ford to sit up and address this problem.....Forums, SM and hotlines do not seem to do the trick.....Is Ford HQ in Michigan or WASHINGTON DC.....!!!!

Frustrating!!!....PS....otherwise I LOVE my new Platinum!
