Done.....here is the message I sent to MotorWeek
AS MESSAGED TO MOTORWEEK
I write this message to MotorWeek in hopes of adding my voice to those of other consumers of the fantastic 2015 Ford F-150 Truck that have discovered a particular issue that Ford seems to wish to not acknowledge nor fix.
I have a brand new 2015 Platinum In Transit after doing a special order with a dealer. After reading all the complaints of current owners of 2015's on various F-150 Forums, I am deeply concerned that Ford is stonewalling vs. addressing the faulty Cooling Seat Design as implemented on the new trucks. As the owner of a 2013 Platinum F-150, I can attest that the seat and back cooling function works as expected, even in the severe Arizona climate in prior year vehicles. I should rightfully expect from Ford a similar or even improved seat cooler design on the 2015….right!?
2015 Owners are being told various "stories" about how seat backs that heat rather than cool are "working as designed". This mis-information is coming from both dealers/service departments and some Ford "Social Media Reps". Owners know their vehicles and features, in many cases, far better than Ford dealers/service departments. Telling owners that most of the vehicles currently being produced exhibit this same retarded performance and are "performing as designed" is simply not going to work with F-150 buyers. Attempts to escalate this issue up the Ford ladder have thus far totally failed.
It is below the dignity of such an otherwise stellar vehicle to be marred with such an idiotic issue. Ford should remember It's Pride of Quality and own up to one of these two positions:
1. Either admit that theseat cooling re-design for 2015 is flawed and must be fixed immediately both on the line and in the field
2. Or state that Ford made a conscious decision to design a product feature that is far inferior to previous models and Ford will continue to try to shove this flawed implementation down the throats of buyers paying $60K for these vehicles.
I would ask MotorWeek to look closely at the complaints from owners related to this issue and test it thoroughly for any reviews of the 2015 F-150. If you find merit in our owner concerns, perhaps MotorWeek can voice the issue to Ford in a way that individual owners cannot.
Thank you for your consideration,

Not a Clue
Got a call from the Dealer today regarding the warm seat backs on both sides. He acknowledged that there is a problem but stated that there is no information on Fords dealer site, no TSBs, and no procedure to repair. I emailed Ford Service as they have a case number assigned, and also called the area CSM and left a message. Soooooo, it looks like I'm in a holding pattern for now. Guess I'll continue to enjoy my Ford Focus bare bones rental car for a while.

LONG TIME FORD GUY
A quick check on some other forums reveal the same type of threads going on so we are not the only ones. no fix ... works as designed... total BS ... I'm sure the system works great in the lab but in the field not so much. even with the AC set to max cooling to cool the cab for a 45 minute drive ( enough that I have to turn it down) and let the system draw in already cooled air. the back of mine still get hot... Ok so I submitted my review to motor week. Now what? What else can I do? Do we have any contact information to ford to push this up the ladder and put this issue in the spotlight? I want to know what options we have to be the voice that gets this pushed up the chain to get a recall issued to fix the issue.

I've also sent a complaint to Ford Corporate.

I have also just reported the issue at the Ford Corporate site - via email. If enough of us do this, it's harder for them to just ignore it.

BINGO!
This exhaust vent is the part that our trucks are missing....and a simple $5 fix IMO. Just need a vent to allow the hot exhaust from TED to be vented out of the bottom of the seat back. It's not that hard or expensive to fix this issue....but Ford needs to recognize that there is indeed a problem first.
