Wow they are breaking alot of zippers. LOL I guess I can't complain because the dealer broke my passenger seat but then just swapped one out of a brand new truck off the lot.

I got to say this TSB is working out pretty good for me. I can leave the seats on for longer than 10 min and they still cool my back. I picked up a buddy of mine and we headed up to my property to mess with the game cameras and feeder and he is pretty big guy and he also stated that the back of the seat worked much better than before.

Thought I would report back on the results of having mine fixed:

I've had mine back for almost 2 weeks now and I have to say it's a "meh" fix. The heating issue does not happen at least in the back, which is an improvement over the original but the airflow in the seat back actually almost seems worse if that's possible. I can't say with any sort of confidence that the fix has solved the issue and I'm probably going to take it back to the dealer to make sure they installed everything properly.

So annoying.

How long did the dealer have your trucks to do this fix? I dropped mine off at 10am today for this and the transmission tsb and they still haven't called to say it was done and it's almost 5pm...nevermind they just called and said they did the Trans fix but are doing a pin test? On the seats since the right and left are 22* different and they're not sure if it's the TED or something else.

Just got my truck back from having the TSB done. I'll also say its a "meh" fix. It no longer gets hot on the seatback so thats a plus. I also agree that the airflow in the lumbar area is pretty much non-existant now. Seems like less airflow than before but atleast its not getting hot. The seat bottom is just the same as it was before. I'll just roll with this for now and keep an eye on this thread to see if they have a v2 or v3 fix in the future.

I also had the ANC disabled in IDS so no more fake engine noise being amplified through the cabin with my aftermarket stereo.

Normally it take three trips to the dealer to get this done, first trip they agree to order the parts, second trip is for them to find out they ordered the old parts by mistake, third trip to actually get the right parts installed.

Dealer says mine are installed but waiting for parts to fix the other problems. Might get it back tomorrow.

Could you expand on the broken zipper?

After the dealership performed the TSB for my seat cooling, I noticed the zippers on both seats hanging out about 3 inches. The zipper was still zipped, but the last 3 inches or so we're not connected to anything. I'm not sure if that's the way it should be, or if they pulled those last 3 inches loose when taking the seat backs off.

It was tucked in the seat. No problem, just tuck it back up in there.

Just picked mine up with the cooking seat back fix.....

Not impressed, to the point of I wish I had not gotten it done.

The seat back does not cool.

The back of the seat (in the rear passenger cabin) gets hot.

And now there is a plastic piece pushing up against both of my seat backs right where it gets hot.... I'm sure the heat and piece pushing up against will help the leather stretch out.

The dealer said it was their first one so maybe a return trip will get it right, but not happy at all.

Mine was also the first this dealership had done as well.

Unless I missed something, it doesn't seem everyone is happy with the TSB repair?

Bad designs, sometimes they are tough to fix, especially when you've got to work through the bad designs, to try and make it right.

I'm not sure what choice you have? But for the manufacturer to cut up the seats and piece in some new parts, I feel for all of you.

I can say this, if the TSB repair worked well, as good as the cooling seats do in prior years, everyone would be pleased! And there would be absolutely no complaints.

Good luck and hope Ford comes through for all of you and doesn't give up and say it's good enough!
