No, it give specific instructions to order two if both seats need to be replaced (and we all know they do, but some people might only come in complaining of the driver's seat...) and it give the warranty labor charges for one or both seats.

I'm just the messenger in this case... I completely agree with you. There's no difference in the way either seat operates!

The blower and the TED are pretty much an integrated unit in this seat so that part number should replace both for one seat...

My seat bottoms work fine. Never noticed any heat coming from the seat back. I've never tried the passenger seat. I'm not sure I want anyone cutting apart my seats.

Yes, you bring up the $64,000 question: "well, we thought that would fix it" and being here in Houston, the inside of our trucks get very hot almost year round, so I want mine fixed pretty fast. BUT, not sure if I want to be first under the knife!
Even though some of our previous McGivers used the two snorkel design, i'm thinking as long as cool(er) cabin air is being routed in to the TED, the process should be much more efficient. You know (giving them some credit) they had to be very aware of the high heat liability and surely would not have ignored this in the re-design. I always go back to the fact that the F150 is Ford's cash cow and any blemish on that reputation is to be avoided.
