Fingers crossed that in 3 weeks, a fix will be out. Hell, I'm even going to schedule an appointment!

Saturday the 5th is scheduled.

Default Lemons, Not, Just in a Pickle!

I finally got a got a call back from Amelia, regional CSM, two days late. The best I could make out from her muffled mumbly message on my phone was that she has been researching for a fix but Ford doesn't have one. Interesting either Amelia doesn't have a clue or the CSM that said there is a fix coming in about 3 weeks is full of it.

Zero trust from me now. Don't want to think. I was given a brand new platinum to drive as a loaner. The guy who drove it up to for an all of five minute said the seat coolers work great. So I but it to the test...seat bottom cold back warm but not as hot as in my truck.

I am normally a hot tempered individual and I am almost the point to see if mine falls into the lemon law. They now have had it for 7 days for various things mainly the seats at they still have it. Anyone considering or done a lemon law before?

Thanks.

Jason
Jason you just have the Ford new model blues, just give it a few years and all this will be behind you.

Left out of your list are the issues that have been deemed normal characteristics, dash warping and roof leaking (can't drive thru high powered car washes), etc.? Don't despair, as they will also get these issues today called "normal characteristics " fixed in a few years, too! Then apparently, they weren't truly normal, when they told you so?

It's a cycle just keep it 3 years and trade it in on another, that's the real fix! It's what all the auto manufacturers count on.

I would request everyone to calm down about the seat cooling issue as I have proof that ford is in the process of ordering the parts to fix this right now. I have a picture of their lead tech ordering them right here:

I heard they like to use designs that worked on other products. I think this is what worked last time.

They are ordering a moonroof seal too. Mine had the break in it. While I haven't noticed it leaking in a high powered car wash I still want it replaced.

However, with fall coming and a leaking moon roof it might be a way to keep you seat back cool.

I bought my truck on technically Mar 31 but took possession on April 1. I guess I am the fool. I think since then it seems like it has been in the shop about 25% of the time since then. Recently the cooled seats problem has almost made that number realistic. My wife said I should have bought a Titan. The last Ford I had was an 94 Eddie Bauer Explorer it has numerous issues. I took me 30 years before I bought this truck. With everything going on, it might be another 30+ years before I buy another Ford.

The slow response time to acknowledge the problem, thus even longer to get a fix in, all these other issue cropping in the mean time, and top all that with Regional Customer Service people who seemingly all have different information/misinformation/lies that are spread if and when they call you back at the not previously scheduled time.

Me=Zero Trust in Ford. I am so ready for a

Ameila is awful. You try calling her back and it goes straight to voicemail. I asked a customer rep and they said most people in her position have their "call back numbers" as just answering machines and they wont call you back until their "scheduled" call back date. She mumbles and talks fast. Acts like shes doing me a favor for calling me. Hate FORD customer service. Toyota was awesome. Should have stuck with them

Default Seat Cooling Issues

I'm having the same problem. Bottom of seat cools fine but the seat back doesn't cool. In fact it heats the rear of the seat pretty hot in one spot in the middle which defeats the cooling. Dealership said ford knows about the problem but doesn't have a fix. I've escalated my complaint. Maybe if enough of us keep raising hell, they'll get it fixed. Its just a matter of some plastic tubing to separate the intake from the exhaust from what I hear.

Unzipped the back of my seat because I noticed there was not much air (cold or hot) blowing out the back any longer. It used to get real hot. I like to keep the lumbars inflated due to some old back issues so look at what I found.

The TED basically fell out when I unzipped the back. The clip on the back of the unit was broken.

The side clip was unhooked.

Flex hose was disconnected

Those zip ties work great huh?

Basically yes.. But getting it to fit and route correctly in a jam packed seat cavity is the issue. I have a few people testing a fix that I designed and 3D printed
