We have not concluded that there are indeed "new" parts (new part numbers), but some dealership is replacing the blower units....not sure if they were deemed not functional, or if they are just throwing parts at it to make the customer happy.

I think they're just throwing parts at it too. The blowers are obviously working, as most of our seat bottoms are getting cold. It appears to me to be design problem with the ducting. I definitely wish I had more coming out of my seat back, most days it's not noticable at all.

I still question if there is a "malfunction" or not. Has anyone from FORD with TRUE expertise and knowledge stated how the seat is supposed to work? The seat bottoms on mine cool fine but I don't believe Ford ever intended the backs to be cooled. If and when they do, I believe it to be incidental cooling.

for what its worth, i just had mine apart again..if you refer to pictures on my first post, you can see the TED , and directly below the boot connected to the seat back the exhaust for hot air , when it is in cool mode, about 3 inches away is the inlet for the cooling air, and a poorly executed attempt at creating a barrier to keep the hot air from the inlet.....at least on my seat the upholstery leaves almost no room for air flow , and there is no ducting for the hot air exhaust which is what makes the center of the seat back warm....as an experiment i created a duct for the cooling air to draw from the bottom of the seat, opened one area to allow for air flow, and created another duct to direct the warm exhaust away from the inlet....took about 20 minutes, makes a noticible difference...will report after a 24 hour period if it really keeps working....so far the silence from ford is deafening,,,i still dont know why the bottom worked so well when i drove it home and so poorly now...having found one disconnected duct, i suspect something else is loose....oh, in addition while it was apart, i loosened the tie wrap holding the duct to the seat back and activated the massage function......it promptly stretched the boot to where it pulled loose again...it will be interesting to see how ford responds to this...d

So I just got my truck back from the dealership and they said the seat back being warm is normal and that the other new platinum on there lot works the same way!!! The other thing I had it in there for is air noise coming from the B pillar and they said its normal. Why can't they try to fix anything.........
