Well guys to give you a quick update here is how my testing is going...

-I can say I have successfully gotten rid of the extreme temps that the leather sees behind the seat.
-The seat cooling still isn't great
-The seat doesn't continue to climb in temp and stays consistent but not COLD.

I am currently trying a few things like an improved intake side system for the TED. It seems like it just can't get enough air no matter what anyone says the seat is sealed too tight and there is no good source of incoming air. Like a lot of homes now they seal the dang things so tight it is hard to get fresh air in.

I think that the accordion rubber adapter is far too restrictive and I may take aim at that part next.

While my seat bottom doesn't work very well and I can fry an egg on the back of my seat and lumbar area. The inside of my center console is cold enough to chill down a 12 pack of Miller Lite, so I have that going for me!!

Tim, I think you are definitely on the right track. The designs I've seen for older model vehicles that have seats that actually cool have long formed-plastic intake and exhaust runners that pull in and discharge air under the seat. This current design was doomed to fail from the start by eliminating (probably at some bean counter's request) those runners and packaging everything inside an already cramped seat back compartment. And you're right about the little rubber snorkel that connects the TED to the seat, what a joke. It's too short and too flimsy to do the job. Add in multi contour seats and suddenly it's wayyyy to short.

Like a house, flex duct, that rubber flex probably restricts and causes turbulence.

Tim, Ford needs to put you on their payroll!! SOmeone commented that the current TED is smaller than previous years....did you find that to be true....maybe to get everything into the 2015 seats....??

I have a massager issue but frankly am going to await the "fix" on the cooling, which hopefully will not take them long to roll out....and do it all at once....

Update on mine.

They replaced the foam and TED in the back of the seat, and it works as expected now. The part #'s for the CORRECT seat back pads are

FL3Z-1664810-D

FL3Z-1664811-D

BZ to B. Mcclain at KP Ford for figuring it out!

Wonder why they replaced the foam?

And is the TED different? New Part number?
