Crystal, I did as you asked and Ford called me and said the seat coolers are working as they should and there is no TSB!!!!!!! What Next? I do appreciate your help but Im getting nowhere. My dealer said this morning that there are to many parts in the seat back so they shrunk the cooling parts so they don't work as efficient???? They don't work at all!

None of us are getting anywhere. My point of contact thru this forum cannot even get my dealership to contact Ford engineering about the issue. He's called me 4 times with the same update... the local dealership won't even return his calls.

Very frustrating.

Tried to reply earlier but didn't go thru. So my dealer called me today and advised nothing is wrong and the ford hotline advised the seat back should be within 15 degrees of the bottom and they say mine is so its working as expected. I feel no cooling at all on my seat back so now what?? Seems this is fords position on the matter and tough luck. I know it's just a simple seat back cooling issue but due to the principle of all of this I'm tempted to give it back and get a Silverado

I never had any issues with my 07, 10, 12 Tundras. My last one was a platinum and it was perfect. I only changed for something different, I really like my F-150 but it sucks to have them say there is no issue just so no one can lemon law them. I hope we get somewhere.....

As I have stated before, my 13 does this also, but it appears that we still have 2 different answers from Ford.

So which is it, does anyone know? Are the seat backs suppose to cool all the way up or just the lower lumbar?

Without knowing that, we cant move forward with a complaint. Last I saw from Crystal the Ford rep here, she alluded that they were only suppose to cool in the lumbar area.

So which is it?

The 15's should cool the whole back, I shot truck seats with my IR camera on the dealers lot that were working properly and it showed cool air on 80% of seat back. Looks like Ford may be replacing my whole seat now per dealer.

If only true....

I am feeling lucky and hoping that my new Platinum will have been fixed before it left the factory.....or that it is one that works....if not, I will join the fight.....love the feature on my 2013.....cools all the way up and my wife complains after 5 minutes that she is freezing...smile

Yeah...good luck with that! lol The cooling seats on my '10 Platinum worked great on the seat and back. If it wasn't broke why did they "fix" it? Grrrrr

'15 Lariat May '15 build date.
Brought my new truck into my local dealer, was told there isn't a fix even after calling the Ford Hotline as they've had multiple 15's back in for the same issue no seat cooling on the back ... Guess i will wait until there is a definitive known fix for the issue

I dropped my truck off at the dealer today and as expected, the cooler is "working as expected." However, they noted in the file that is going back to Ford that the seats get very warm, even hot. Both the technician, service advisor and service manager openly admit the design is poor and indicated this approach (having the issue logged with Ford) is the best way to get it fixed. Power is in numbers.

I'll follow-up with the Ford rep and continue to push. Hopefully everybody else does the same and we get a fix!!!

I'm currently sitting on a block of ice, but have a warm back.

When you take it in, ask your dealer for a copy of the response from Ford along with any bulletin numbers, etc.
It would really help all of the members with clueless dealers! Thanks.
