So... I cut the hose in half... chose the narrow harder plastic end to make my hook up over the TED... I cut it off at 2 & 9/16"... then, using a razor knife I cut a 1/3 diameter slot in it 2 & 1/2" long... When I make one for the Passenger seat, I'll start with 2 & 5/8", so my end cap is stronger.

I then created a plug end out of a few pieces of aluminum tape and scissors, and used that to help seal the end... Not in the photos: I also lined the inside of this part of the tube with aluminum tape for strength.

I attached it to the TED with Aluminum Tape, and strategically placed Zip Ties... Then routed it into the gap behind the fame and out the bottom as in photo:

For the Intake Side, I removed 1/3 of the side of the rubber flexible end of my hose and simply taped it to the intake. I figured it was not as important to get a total seal on this end, so I my goal was just to make it solid.

I had these 2"x2" x 1/2" solid foam blocks lying around, so I put one in as filler to create a smooth appearance on the seat back.

I secured the loose stuff with zip ties and sealed it back up...

Here is a photo looking under the seat.. The black tubes barely peek out from under the trim...

You can readily feel the air coming out of the exhaust, and you can sense that the intake is pulling air in as well.

OH.. and that little black box, in the lower left under the seat! That is my Gun Safe, strapped to the main seat frame with a Tungsten Cable.

And there you have it... One DYI Fix on the seat issue.

And so the question is:

Did it work?

Well... We drove out to my country place the next day, and turned on the coolers about 10 minutes from stopping... I then took thermal measurements when we stopped and got out.

Outside Temp: 98 Degrees
Driver seat front : 77 Degrees and Back was 78 Degrees.
Pass Seat Front : 90 Degrees and Back was 108 Degrees.

I could feel the difference... and SEE the difference.

I WILL be doing the Passenger Seat as soon as possible!

I was thinking that this was supposed to be normal until I had the chance to check out two 2016 F-150 Lariats. Both of their seats turn on and maintained fan speed until you pushed the button to change between high, medium & low.

Good job, Professor.... more than one way to skin a cat and as your pictures noted, addressing the intake/exhaust ducting to the TED makes a SUBSTANTIAL difference to the temps over the factory 2015+ versions. Nirvana ..... NO.... but optimization of what they re-designed.... YES!!

Tim IS a great guy and please remember folks,(as digitaltrucker pointed out) in regards to his responsiveness, this is NOT his "day job" and he has had many personal health and employment issues lately....so maybe try to cut him some slack.

Also, as Tim and I have observed, I would echo that the zippers are far more fragile than you might expect....so using proper pliers and caution will save you bigger issues..... even a lot of dealer techs have wrecked zippers trying to install the TSB!!!... jus' saying.... AZPLAT

I'll post photos and a report when done.
Kits are made to fit either setup actually. I went to universal parts after I mistakenly shipped a couple kits backwards... Saved a huge headache on my end.

wow.. Well folks I finally got all caught up today. If it wasn't one thing it was another. My luck even transfered to my friend that laser cuts the aluminum for me and their equipment went down as they were cutting the parts. That was the longest lead time I have ever had and I feel bad for it guys. I have stuff in stock now and next weekend I will be building some kits to be ready for immediate shipment for the first time since I started this. Thanks again for all the support. If anyone has any issues please reach out.

Wow SeatGuru! Is it not CRAZY how many F150's out there with none-cooling, cooled seats! I do love what you came up with, and I have been spreading the word about you, at the local dealerships and in passing. Plus, My Mustang will be in some car shows coming up where I encounter a lot of Ford people. I am surprised at how many simply do not think the seat back is supposed to be cool when activated (only the bottom). I am orry that I was in a hurry to get mine fixed, so I did it myself.
