Boatmanbuzz your post is spot on. I did the drivers seat this evening. It started with a trip to O'Reilly auto for the torx as the smallest I had was an 8. I bought a set that had 5 through 10 and came with the handle for 6 bucks. I did use a heat gun to carefully heat up the tube to put the bends in it that I wanted. The only thing I did differently than the directions was that I took the intake tube straight down with a few bends. I ended up pulling a wire harness apart to get the tube to sit flat against the seat back frame. Not sure if this was correct but it looks like it will draw air in from under the seat just fine. It's too cold here yet to know if it will completely solve the issue but it's got to be better then what Ford designed and installed. The TED is pulling air in and exhausting air out through the new tubes so I'd say it's the best we can do and I can feel air blowing through the seating surface. I wonder how different this TED is then the previous version, Ford knew enough on the previous version to vent out the exhaust side. Overall I'm very disappointed with these seats and to see what some of the stretched out leather looks like infuriates me. It's apparent that the cushions are crap as both our front seats have big divetts where we sit. Now I weigh in at a couple hundred but the wife is waaay below that and both seats have the same crater in the same spot, I have rarely sat in the passenger seat. We never had that issue with our '13. That's all I have, thank you Tim for your efforts and coming up with these parts!

KLS-

I bought the same $5.99 Torx kit from O'reillys also. Small world.
Happy you have one side done.

Bob

I live in Arizona and ordered Tim's kit. Hopefully it'll show up within the next week or so if i'm part of his next shipment. I'm in a good location to test the seats out because we've been consonantly above 85* for the better part of the month and i've used the AC in my truck plenty this month in addition to the crappy AC seats. I did have the TSB done so i'll be installing the exhaust tube only.

I'll be sure to post my results once completed with the install.

I installed both sides today. Turned on the cool switch when the interior was heated up to 76 degrees and could feel the back of the seat cool, also tried the heated part and that worked good. It feels like an improvement to me but it is only in the 50's here in Pennsylvania today. I could feel air movement from both tubes. I will know more once it warms up. I'm betting there will be an improvement with the air coming from under the seat as in the past years, and not from inside the seat. Thanks again Tim for your design, it fits as you described.

Isn't it amazing how much air actually flows! And to think the original design had that all trapped inside the seat!

Tim, is there anything you may be able to do for the 13 seats? Same issue, little to no air out the back section?

Thanks

I drove a 2013 F150 Platinum for a few weeks, the AC seats in that were awesome. After the installation of this kit, how would you all rate air output on the 2015 compared to the 2013? I know its hard to tell in cold parts of the country, but even if the seats were just as good as the 2013 Id happily buy the kit.
Please PM me with feedback or post here if possible. Thanks in advance guys!
Kyle

Thanks

Did you clean the filter around the fan? I took mine out and blew it out and it worked better after that.
