Repair attitude is all about the dollar, if Ford is only giving them 1/2 an hour for a 2 hour job, they are upset! Additionally, time is taken away from real straight money non warranty jobs for these little compensation warranty repairs.

Yes most/all Ford Dealers suck and don't care about you or your truck. I had a very bad start with my dealer and after contacting Chad (Ford Service) on here and then My Regional Service Mgr, Dealer Operations Director, and Dealer Service Manager things started to get better they seem to be into making me happy now and it's sad that I had to get the higher ups involved but sometimes that has to happen.

I do blame most of this on Ford and the way they strap the dealers down on parts and the way labor works. Pretty sorry to say the least.

I came real close to dumping this '15 Ford F150 because of it. I'm good now and keeping it and waiting to get this Transfer Case noise resolved. Dealer states they checked it and don't see to be a problem but I have it on paper that they are aware of it and Ford Corp is aware of it. So if the truck blows up down the road the party will be back on 100%.

My father in law has an interesting theory in how this works too. He told me that the first 12K/1year of the warranty are covered at Ford expense. The rest of your 36k/3yr is then covered by an insurance underwriter. He seems to think that once your truck/vehicle cross 12k or 1 yr old the dealers will "find" more problems because its not coming out of Ford's pocket because the bill is reimbursed through the insurance underwriter. Or they may have to limit what they find...if you get too many insurance claims the underwriters might charge Ford more of a premium...aka...increased truck price to offset the increase in premiums. I wonder if you could receive warranty work at a 3rd party (private garage) if you would notice more incentive to find/fix problems.

Just my father-in-law's theory.

Any of you that had to have your seat backs replaced after having the TSB done. Due to busted zippers and holes torn in the seat backs. How long did it take to get your replacement seat backs in? When I first had the TSB done the zipper broke on one of the seatbacks. Two days later the replacement back was in upon putting it one they tore a hole in the replacement. It has been two and a half weeks since then and the second replacement seat back has yet to come in and when I call they have no idea of when it might be in. Anyone else with this problem?

They busted a zipper in my passenger seat but pulled a brand new seat from a truck on the lot to replace and then got the truck back to me the next day.

That's crazy they are tearing up your seats and then making you wait for the part. They should help you out there...

Parts ordered on 9/25/15 for the seat back TSB. I was told two business days. Still no parts... This brings me to my next question... I'm in the south and temperatures are cooling off so I can live without what I thought was going to be one of my favorite features for a while. Should I just give up on this TSB for 3 or 4 months in hopes of a better resolution to the issue or should I go ahead and have it performed (whenever parts are available)?

All this talk of torn seats and zippers makes me nervous. Even more of my concern is the lack satisfaction with the TSB.

I had my seats down yesterday and like others have said before the seat back isn't as cold as the seat bottom but I can feel cool air on my back and no heat. That being said if it came from the factory this way I wouldn't have complained. They did a nice clean job and I happy with the results. Just my .02

Labor hours are all relative. When I was a GM tech I was also paid 2 hours to swap out bad deck lid shocks and it only took 45 minutes. Yes, you only get paid what the book says but I was booking 80+ hours a week and only working about 60 so more often than not it all works out just fine.

As an X-Lincoln/Mercury tech (77-79) I agree although some warranty jobs were total gravy while others not so much. 77 cougars squeaked and rattled all over and sometimes they were a beech to find. Ford gave about an hour to fix and it was never enough.. but Monarch (remember those?) gas cap doors made up for it.
