Thanks for checking. Darn. Looks like I'll need to do something with this issue again.

Looking at this picture it may be that TAD (Ha ha ha ha Just kidding) I mean TED deflector or that harness conduit that may be sticking out on yours. Hard to tell without unzipping the seat and taking a look.

BigandTall - when you visit your Ford dealer nowadays, do they just think you are stopping in to pickup your paycheck? I mean you've had to bring your truck in so often, it must seem like you work there!

Default Pathetic!

Had my seat repair done Friday. Total wast of time. Had to take seat back apart this morning to un-crimp the stupid tube that was mashed flat as it makes the bend going under seat. Most likely you will have to loosen things up after the repair. Getting the bungee loops off involves blood.

I would love to meet the "engineer" from Ford who designed the replacement part. I'd punch him in the face.

Sorry I can't recall the famous forum poster with the 3D printer. But put me down as a buyer of your snorkel. Better start printing, your going to sell quite a few!

Wow I noticed the same thing, appears that white "tube" does mash flat when you fasten the seatback. Really Ford? I may rig up some type of rigid tube to fit inside the white thing. Good times :-/

That's what is was thinking, but it can't be done because the white tube is a plastic mesh. The only thing that would be a worse design would be to roll up a stack of newspaper and call it a straw. It's like somebody put in the design spec "don't let to much air flow in to the TED"

I spent much of my early career working on solving "mcGiver" style problems, so seeing crap like this just pisses me off!! Not to mention the slash I have in the palm of my hand from unsnapping the wiring harness to get the strap loose. Aaarrrggggg.

Sorry about your hand, that sux. Guess I will unzip the seat again and do a little better McGyver'ing myself. Maybe some type of semi rigid tube or something. I was actually thinking of the tube extensions from my shop vac!

I did call the engineers out on the plugs make it impossible to open the seat. As for the mesh in the cloth tube... This is the same mesh that is under the leather seat that the air flows through.
