Hmmm I don't have buttons on my screen either. How do you get those?

Trade yours in on one built before mid March. That's when they decided we don't need any dam seat buttons on the screen. This saved them $0.000000000001 on your $50,000.00 truck.

Here you go guys. Just came across OASIS this morning. Ford has officially acknowledged there is an issue.

Aug 13 2015 1775-2015 F-150 Lariat/Platinum/King Ranch - Climate Control Seats - Front Seat Backrests Not Cooling
Some 2015 F-150 Lariat/Platinum/King Ranch vehicles equipped with climate controlled seats, may exhibit a lack of cooling from the front seat backrests. Using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) tool check for any continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s) and attempt to clear them with the IDS first. If any DTC’sreturn then follow the normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual, Section 501-10A. If there are no DTC’s present or no DTC's return and the front seat backrests exhibit a lack of cooling, do not make any further repair attempts. Engineering isaware of this concern and is investigating. Continue to monitor OASIS for future updates.

I guess it was the bean counters again. LOL

Don't know why they pulled them. They work just fine.

For the person that asked about the background. There is a thread on here that has tons of them. I got it from there.

So investigating to me does not equal designing a fix although I was told they are. Also I am so extremely disappointed that it did not include text that said "disable back TED by unplugging until fix is released" I mean I think it would be better to disconnect it to ensure no one gets hurt OR wrecks their leather.

But hey it is getting "investigated"

Agreed. They forgot to state that the seat backs heat up to red freakin hot. So hot they burned my back!

Investigate? Hello idiots! Anyone here can see that you can't intake cool air from, and exhaust hot air into, the same enclosed super teeny tiny air space and depend on the perforations in the leather to make it all ok. Those factory punched perforations reclose a significant percentage immediately after being formed. And the rest of the leather doesn't breath - duh!

Bunch of clowns.

Jesus Christ you guys are impossible to satisfy. First it was bitching that they haven't acknowledged an issue, now that they did, its bitching about their wording.
When they say investigating that pretty much means they are working on a fix for the issue. If engineering is involved that means something is changing, us techs see messages like these all the time, and shortly after there is a TSB or SSM with a fix for said issue.

What is OASIS? I was trying to find this OASIS report on line. I wanted to print a copy to have to show the guys at my dealership. How official is this OASIS report? Is this something put out by Ford or a 3rd party?

Thanks.

MDBoostWorks......you are a real asset on this forum and you have always shared the "inside" info you have....thank you!

There is just a lot of pent-up emotion with Ford on this since they stonewalled all of us for so long.....there probably is a fair amount of doubt still in our minds that Ford will put a thorough fix into place that equals or surpasses what Tim cobbled together in his "spare time".

I KNEW they would eventually admit to the problem.....we just have to hope now that they will do the right thing(s) towards us with afflicted seats.....

Peace!!

Some people just like to hear themselves complain!

I have a 2013 so not personally affected on this issue. But very happy Ford has now recognized the issue, and hope all of you are pleased with the engineering fix.
