Cooling Seats issue and TSB feedback

Bob,
Last Thursday my truck went in for an oil change, tire rotation, etc and to have the cowling replaced. That part had been on back order since early June. Since it was going in I had them check the seats. I had been complaing to the GM and the sales guy that my cooled seats felt like the heat was on. They poo-pooed me. Well, with the help of this forum I took several video clips of the cooled seat being tested with a laser inferred thermometer. I sent it to the GM and saleman to let them know the temps it was reaching and that this was after 20mins of it running. They tested and said it was normal. Long story short (I posted the long version on a few pages back) they only ran it for 5-10 min tops. Guess what, they got to test it again Friday. What do you know...they noticed it getting really hot and another truck came in that day with the same problem. They scrambled around contacting other dealers and Ford Tech help on how to solve the problem.
Solution: No real fix. They did unplug the top portion so I can have a chilly rump. In doing so the top massage function and any inflated back support is now not functional. Wow...At least the dealership here knows I am not crazy. I also told them to be ready for more f150s and other models. I think this problem extends beyond just the F150s.

Cooling Seats - Are Your Seat Backs Working Properly?
Ok guys I can tell you that I know this has the attention of FORD. I know that it is on their radar. I can't say much because I don't know much other than they are very aware and are "working on a solution" another source other than Chad says so...
I plan to keep working on my testing and keep everyone in the loop on what I am working on.

I think we all need to take a breath and let the wheels churn for awhile and let Ford come up with a fix.
The sky is not falling and we are all starting to sound like a bunch of women at a giant shoe sale.
Breath in, breath out......
Now, lets see what happens in the next several days.
Just my 2 cents.
Ok let the flaming began.

Jason you got the fix, ok maybe just a patch? They just gave you a manual seat! I hope it was adjusted to your preference before they unplugged it though? I'm sure this is not going to go over well, when the wife gets behind the wheel!

After all I have read I feel the only way to correct this problem is a new seat. They have tried to put too much stuff in a smaller seat back, therefore We have less comfortable seats than in our past f150's less padding ,less room for the TED & now with massage & power lumber.Like trying to put 2#s of stuff in a 1# can. This maybe the reason for the lack of response.

First, thank you for your response. You have a lot of loyal Ford fans here that have been disappointed in the lack of acknowledgement we are getting from dealers, customer service reps, etc.
Can you elaborate at all on where Ford is on this? (How long they have been looking into it, where are they on communicating with dealers?)
Also, please keep us updated as often as possible. Most of us don't mind waiting for a fix. It is the denial and information vacuum that has been so frustrating.
Thank you...
