Cooling Seats issue and TSB feedback
#1202
The Flir images I provided (copied here in above post) were when it was about 75 deg (ambient) in my garage ran truck 20 minutes with cooling on high. The passenger seat recorded similar results. I did not sit in seats, just ran the truck and the cooling.
I have various shots during the 20 minutes but they all show pretty much the same thing.
Additionally I did not center the temperature reading on the hottest spot in order to get the whole bottom/back in the pic. So the temperature reading is lower than the hottest spots.

I was really hoping to see a fix on this when I go in for my first oil change... These 100 degree days with a black truck and black interior with defective seat coolers is tough to stomach.

I tried to get in touch with Ford on twitter. I hate to be a complete a**hole but I'm getting pretty tired of no response. For those of you that have twitter, send some tweets to @fordtrucks and @ford. This is really getting ridiculous.

LONG TIME FORD GUY
I took my truck in yesterday for it's first oil change and had them look at the seats. and big surprise ( sarcasm) They could find nothing wrong... I told the service adviser I wanted the problem documented and he did that. I also told him the seats need to be on full for at least 20-30 minutes which they did not do based on the time the truck was back in the shop area. It is unseasonably cool here ( only in the mid 90s ) and when it was tested it was only in the mid 70s. So on the way home I ran the seats and the backe kinda worked for about 10 minutes and then of course started to get warm... Well at least it was documented. Had a long talk with my sales guy and mentioned the seated got hot after about 20 minutes and he said he doesn't get to ride in them that long but would check it out...I told him I was waiting on a TSB and hopefully it comes out before the warranty expires.

Info that was removed
Hi Ken, anyway I can get a copy of that info from you? It would be a great help with the battle I have going on with my dealership

Defective features on your new trucks!
Ford manufactures 10's of thousands of 2015 F150's, and only a very small number of those truck owners actually post to this site. So from that perspective Ford doesn't need to budge. Now from another perspective Ford has representatives monitoring these forums, so they are interested in what owners are saying, I guess? Until sales numbers go down along with profits, positive results to acknowledge and address your complaints for defects are going to be slow in coming.
What I don't understand is there are some owners who do the research, find the problems and defects associated with the 2015 F150 trucks, post it on the forums, then post they just bought their new truck? Then they post they have a problem? Ok, ok.
Actually out of the 100's of thousands of 2015 F150's, with heated and cooling seats, I would say a high percentage do not use this feature on a regular basis, otherwise we would see a higher number of complaints. I hope Ford gets the 2015 truck issues addressed ASAP, but most of all, that Ford would just quit designing fixes, for components and systems on their trucks, which are not broken!

The squeeky wheel gets the grease... funny how the rear armrest problem seems to have gottin more attention than this

I'm sure the armrest was a cheaper fix. I'm about to take my 2013 mustang gt in for the creaking control arm tsb. Even after several years Ford came up with a bandaid not a true fix. So my hopes are not to high here. It's depressing that this is my first vehicle with cooled seats and they arent even worth turning on.
