**** guys there's only 2 things that burn coolant like that, internal turbo leaks and head gasket. Test the coolant for combustion gas with a cheap strip kit.

I have the same truck (2015 3.5 EB) and power. At 100,000 MI mine began to leak. Same repair as you had but was charged $700. Mine turbo leak was on the driver side. If the passenger side line begins to leak I'll do it myself.

I have a 2018 with the 3.5 L EcoBoost. It only has about 14000 miles/ 23,000 kilometers, & I have noticed a slight leak from around the hose from the expansion tank.

I hate to throw a bottle of radiator stop leak sealant in there.

Has anyone noticed their coolant lines leaking. I have wiped it off a few times, & seems like it re-appears, by the next time I open my hood.

Could it be a head gasket, or a faulty rad cap building too much pressure?

Cdlamb, my 2018 3.5 was exactly like this. Every single line, the silver part..the connections...would have this residue that would keep reappearing. The line by the reservoir, the two going into the heater core, and two under the engine...no idea why. I'd wipe them off and yeah..keep coming back. Way more than normal white smoke. Burning smell. It's been at the dealer for like 35 days. I requested a buyback, we'll see what Ford says.

I have also been dealing with a fuel dilution issue in the oil. I have sent numerous sample in for oil analysis, 3.4-4.0% fuel in engine oil & have talked to 3 local dealers in my area.

They haven't seemed like they want to do anything for me on that issue unless a check engine light comes on.

Thinking about maybe taking it into an independent radiator shop to get it pressure tested, as another member on this forum suggested, as my dealers haven't been doing me any favors.

Jalcon - Yes! Mine also reeked, I couldn't put my finger on what the smell was until I added the FordMoCo orange coolant and realized it had a similar odor.

The dealership supposedly did a pressure/leak test and verified that it wasn't anything to do with the heads. Below is a photo I took when I dropped by the dealership after several days went by without an update. I saw my truck in the first bay of the repair shop so I walked right over to it and kindly introduced myself to the technician who was working on it told him I just needed to grab a few things I had left inside. I then started casually asking him if he had seen this type of thing before and what he thinks may be the cause. He wasn't too talkative and it seemed like he was avoiding giving me too much information. He did say its only one of two things, either turbo related or cylinder head related and that he had to follow a certain protocol of testing/diagnostics in order to comply with some procedure that Ford has in place if a vehicle is being serviced under warranty. He said it is almost like an investigation and parts that are found to have issues are to be sent in to some corporate Ford department for analysis to determine the cause or something which he said really slows down the process. I am trying to remain calm and be patient given the holidays but they've had it for over 3 weeks now and while they did give me loaner vehicle, it is not comparable to my truck (they gave me a low trim level Explorer) and it stings to make an expensive monthly payment on a vehicle that I do not even have in my possession.

Dec. 14th I went to the dealership since I had no been given any updates and found they were pressure/leak testing the coolant system

Yeah, everything they do comes from corporate. It must be frustrating from the techs. I mean my truck has been at the dealership for 30 + days now and all they have done is basically rule out anything external. It's no different then health insurance. You know you have a bad back and need an MRI, but need to go to physical therapy and get an Xray first....dumb.

BS about your rental. My truck is a 302a xlt, and they put me in an xl at first. I bitched and they told me to come back the next day when they would have something else available. I'm in a 500a lariat now....but it doesn't have remote start or navigation. I'm in the process of trying to get a buyback now, I should know on Monday.
