He must have confused the factory shocks for the Bilstiens. They are not soft and plush.

Any noticeable difference in ride quality between the 1.75" and 2" settings on the fronts? I had them on a 2013 FX4 on the 1.75" setting and loved them. I'd like to get a bit more height out of them this time around on my 2017 but don't want a harsh ride.

Just keep in mind the more the spring is pre-loaded, the stiffer it gets, so the ride will firm up more with each raise of the ring. If at the 1.75 the ride was good, at the 2" it will be a bit firmer than that.

Don't know why I waited over a year to do this; what a difference! That rough patch on I-10 eastbound just before the Escatawpa river bridge used to nearly send me into the guardrail. With the rear Bilstiens it is no longer a white-knuckle event.

Just ordered my set (all 4 corners). $369 shipped from Stage 3.

4WD: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/15F...Shock-Kit.html

also 2WD $350 shipped: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/15F...Shock-Kit.html

The next decision will be where to set the front height at once the parts arrive.

I should mention that I have a 2016 502a Lariat with FX4 package.
How much rougher is the ride with the 5100's up front?

I don't really notice any difference.

Compared to the overly-soft, nose-diving-when-braking front damping? Not rough. Not harsh. Just firm. And far better.

Good info here. It's got me thinking of doing the rears. It seems pretty strait forward. I have an XLT 2wd that's a work truck and daily driver. From time to time I load up my lumber rack or bed with materials. Most of the time unloaded daily driver. Should I go with the 5100's or the 4600's? Grateful for any options/ideas.

This right here. Just keep in mind that the top position preloads the springs, so there is no cushion to the ride, hit a bump, feel a bump, but that also equates into better, more responsive handling. Well worth the small trade off if you are looking to level with the shocks. No trade off, but much better ride, handling with the stock position.
