I have the very fine vibration in the steering wheel also. I notice it at varying speeds. 60-70 or 30-40. Doesn't matter. Now I've read all the vibration issues others felt thru their pedal. I will pay attention to that as well. I only have 6900 miles and I hate going to the dealer to get things fixed because the answer is always the same...

OK- Figured my Fine vibration in the steering wheel was the cause of Lane Monitoring System. I somehow turned it on after owning truck since January. I found out how to turn off and solved that concern... Happy again...

I have a 2016 F150 Lariat that I purchased new last year. I too started getting the vibration in the steering wheel and pedal since about 10,000kms on the truck. I brought it in today (@ 20,000kms) and did a test ride with a tech. He felt the vibration in the steering wheel and pedal as well. I only notice this when coasting around town at lower speeds (i.e. <75 km/hr). He then told me to shift it to 4A mode and after about 3 seconds the vibration disappeared entirely. He then told me to shift it back to 2 wheel drive and boom there is the vibration again. I turned it back to 4A and it disappeared again. He said it was a common problem in the trims that have the 4wd auto mode (4a) when the hubs do not fully disengage in 2wd and cause a grinding type vibration.
After searching other threads, this is a common issue with these systems. I believe 4auto is only available on the Larait trim and higher which explains why the XL and XLT trims that you guys drove did not have this issue.
Anyways long story short, the service manager said that because the vibration and noise is not loud enough or easy to diagnose exactly where it is coming from, I need to drive my $60k+ (CAD) vibrating truck until the issue gets worse...........
I dont even know what to do at this point.

i purchase a used f150 lariat eco screw 3 months a go and had a noticeable vibration between 56-63 mph. i jacked up the rear and had it on stands and noticed the driveshaft had a good 1/2 inch of runout, i purchased a new driveline from ford and this one was good, next, the 2 front tires, which were oem goodyear 275/55x20's had a flat spot on each tire, the balance though was perfect.. you can balance a "square" tire, but it wont run very well, i replaced all 4 with michelins.. round tires cost more than others.. the driveline vibration was exactly like the one i had with a 1994 s-10 4x4 i had many years ago.. this one was a no brainer. the dealership wanted to soak me with all this analysis garbage when i had to go straight to the problem, it may have cost me money, but it was worth it..

My 16 Lariat with both lane assist and 4wd auto is the smoothest generation F150 I've had to date. Currently no vibration that is being mentioned. Switched with my buddy's 15 Platinum and his feels identical in the steering wheel and pedal. Both trucks were manufactured in Dearborne. My 12 F150 was built in KC and that thing was a headache from day one.

Hi! I hate to say it but I also have the same problem as "artig"has stated in the opening thread. I also find my hands going numb and tingling. I just retired as a ford tech for 28 years and have never felt this problem in others. Have had a new 72,77 cougar, 79 f150 84 grand Marqius Ls 92,97,98,2000,2002 crown Victoria/grand Marquis, built ground up 1953 f-100, 2010, 2011, 2014 and now what i had hoped would be my last, new, up to date 2016 super crew 5.5 box lariat 5.0l full load, 502a package. $71,649.00 msrp. SO I AM NOT A PART TIME FORD CUSTOMER. My vibration comes in at appox 1400 rpm more so under tip in load conditions and not so much on decal. Alway there at cruise even 140 kph. Different types of road surface enhance the vibration. I try to drive the white/yellow lines to give my hands a break as it minimizes the feel, although the vibration is still present. Ford tried balance and road force, neutralizing the exhaust, but no change. Have put my son's 2010 18"wheels on my truck but there was no change, and tried phasing the drive shaft- still no change. I have driven my other sons new xlt f150 and one from the ford dealer ship THEY DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. Love the truck with all the new safety devices. But what good are they when you have to take your hands off the whee to rest them? As for the steering and its attempt to stay straight for crowned roads, uneven pavement, and cross winds, this is a good ideal but my QUESTION is - how is this feature going to react when "DRIVING ON BLACK ICE"??? I hope someone there can help this repair hopefully FORD WILL GET INVOLVED. Maybe all our symptoms will help ford out. please if you find anything let me know David
