Considering a 2018 F150 King Ranch Supercrew (F150 Reliability Question)
I am seriously considering a 2018 Supercrew King Ranch 4x4 and my main concern is the reliability of the F150s. I've read a few threads about water leaks. I can't stomach paying $60K for issues like this. I realize all brands can develop issues, but... Should I be concerned? I'd be coming off a '16 4Runner with zero issues thus far. The other vehicle I'm considering is a Land Cruiser, but the mpg is awful. I really like the features on the King Ranch w/ ecoboost.
Any words of advice/wisdom are much appreciated.

These are fantastic trucks. Every brand has issues and every brand has stories of leaks. There are no perfect companies putting out 100% problem proof vehicles. I had a 2015 XLT with no issues at all, no leaks of any kind which included the moonroof. I now have a 2018 Lariat and have no worries. My advice is to buy the truck you like and never go to a forum again. It seems there are some folks on this and other site that spend all their time looking for problems.

I'm loving my 2018 Lariat. No leaks so far, after one month. And we've had a lot of heavy, driving rain. I absolutely love my truck! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. No regrets. Hopefully it stays that way. Right now I have no reason to think it won't.

Have a 2018 Limited from a 2013 Platinum, I love it and had no big issues with my 2013. I was so close to getting a 4Runner back then but the wife preferred the comfort of the F150.
Got the full warranty and maintenance for 5 years, anything happens, not my problem.

Owners of a 2015, 2016 and now 2018 F-150's. The first one had an issue at delivery. After that. Never a blip. Not even a bulb burning out. Frankly it is why we keep buying them.
And this is coming form a non Ford household. We are not brand bashers or worshipers. We purchase what we need and is reliable for our needs/situations.
These are the truck all other manufactures use as a measuring stick and or compete with. 40years of the top sales leader tell the story for the most part.
We consumers flip on a dime for a superior product. Trucks would be/are no different.

I also had reserves about Ford coming from a Honda CRV. I now have a 17 Lariat with the Moonroof and no issues at all with leaks. The 10spd Ecoboost is great and I love it and get about 20-21 mpg. Give any car a good look over before buying for anything that might be misaligned, paint issues, etc... very happy with the F150 as it is my first Ford product.

I have a 2016 Lariat supercrew with the moon roof and no leaks, bought the truck after it sat on the dealer lot for 11 months. Zero issues (even had them replace the Sirius antenna for a SSM so they had the headliner down and god knows what else replacing it).

Like others have said I have had no issues with leaks. Will you have issues, maybe. However, you have to remember your reading threads here about people complaining or asking about problems. There are hundreds of thousands of these trucks sold without a single issue. The same is going to go for any vehicle. This is my second F150. I must say I quite like it. Someday I miss my old F150 but I knew it and knew all it's quirks and was used to it. Hopefully in another 10,000 miles I will feel the same about this truck.
