Comparing my KR to my neighbors new HighCountry
#11
My dad just got a 2019 Sierra Denali, I think the seats are super stiff (as does my wife). I think the ride is a little better than my 17 XLT, but his truck also has that magnetic ride control. He didn't get the 6.2l/10spd combo just the 5.3/8spd, and its a fine drive. I still prefer my F150, and we'll upgrade to a 2021 KR or Lariat ( want the vented seats ) when they come out maybe.

Not going to lie, that's a pretty good looking truck. Shame the interior sucks and the crash ratings still aren't as good as Ford.[/QUOTE]
Me and the wife looked at a Chevy and ford. She saw the Chevy first and was like omg I like it but then once we saw the inside. Ewwww

Went through 2 Suburbans because that's the ONLY GM truck that doesn't ride like crap. Finally drove a 2017 F150 and was impressed enough to trade away the Suburban. No idea why you'd think Silverado rides better.

My take is TG for GM and Ram because they force Ford to keep improving their trucks! I carefully looked at Ram and Chevy before I bought my Lariat and for my tastes it wasn't even a close call. Either in styling or how they are equipped but that's why we have brand options. I stopped by the local Chevy dealership to look at the 2019 Silverado's and the interior is just plain ugly imo. No way I would buy that truck because of that interior............ Once again that's simply personal choice which makes me glad Ford has a lot of tough competition in the truck market....

Went to look at a GMC Denali about a month ago. Either the dealer did not have one or the sales guy was too lazy to get it but they showed me a Chev HC and told me it was the same. Sat in it and didn't even drive it. I was not impressed at all with the vast expanses of rock hard plastic everywhere. Told them the not so nice interior was a deal breaker for me and I was happy to get back into my '16 and drive off. Ordered a '19 from my Ford guy 2.5 weeks ago and won't look back. I always like to see what the competition is doing but since 2008 have not given me reason to go there. Had a Jeep in my younger days so don't even look at the Ram - don't have the time to sit in the service waiting room or deal with renting cars while mine is fixed like I used to. It does 'look' nice though.

Ok both 18s... fit and finish outside seem equal,,,inside 100 percent the KR wins no contest!
The HC seems cheesy and plastic plain Jane interior...
Seat comfort 100 percent goes to KR,,, the HC seating is stiff and uncomfortable and NO massaging seats.
Ride quality again KR,, hands down the vibration in the HC feels like rumble strips,,
The KR tranny is much smoother shifting too, it seems like the KR shifts are better “timed” or something...
They are priced about the same but for me the KR is the better choice

I like monochrome color interiors not all the mixed color of certain Fords. Black should be all black, beige all beige, not
orange here brown stripe there, some black over there
